POSTSCRIPT:
Regarding: Notes Robert Burke read during and after In That Day Teaching #074:
I’m going to continue with teachings here. (It’s) kind of unusual to add these notes, but I did these notes on October 31, 2005, after dinner one night. I was asking the Lord, why did Jesus call John the best prophet?
And here are my notes, and this is all rough, but if you followed In That Day Teachings – none of this will make since if you haven’t – but if this is your seventy-fourth taping then a lot of this will just naturally make sense and put a real good period at the end of the sentence. Otherwise, if you don’t understand don’t criticize. Go back with taping number one and just watch one through seventy-four. So here we go.
John the Baptist was the top prophet because he did the impossible. At the right time, without losing a beat, he proclaimed Christ as Christ at Christ’s ministry onset, this who was his cousin, who he knew to be a man. This took great, fantastic, awesome humility. This took all of God’s wilderness experience for John. This took all of God’s disconnect from existing ministries and traditions of men.
This took all of a prophet’s perceptions to boldly speak on the record about a man that he knew, prior to Jesus’ revelations in His ministry. He gave a human being man the highest accolade possible in the universe, that of being God’s sacrificial lamb prior to that man’s miracle ministry teachings of truth, or success in dying at the cross and being raised up in life afterwards.
Now the reason I have appreciation for this is because it appears as though God is manifesting Himself through me and there is very little appreciation for it. Because as I’ve seen in so many places, and churches and people who I’ve spoken to, they love that God might heal someone, but if He is doing it through (an actual person, such as) Benny Hinn, then they don’t have much (tolerance) for that.
[Pauses to check microphone.]
So, what I’m saying is that we should face the truth that normally we human beings don’t like God-people very much. We don’t like it if our healing is dependent on going to a Benny Hinn crusade, for example.
Or else we’ll just switch totally on and make Benny Hinn some kind of god that he isn’t. And that’s kind of like what Benny Hinn is guilty of is allowing himself to be made much ado about that which no one should make that much ado. Yes, he is God’s servant and needs to be honored as such. But to go way, way, way past that, which is the temptation for us human beings, he seems to have succumbed to that very understandable temptation.
But the truth, and Jesus said this, is that normally we human beings kill people who are manifesting God at a higher level than they are. And they stoned and killed the prophets. Almost every prophet had a bad demise in the sense that they were not only unappreciated, they were killed, and Jesus being the prime example.
And that is what we do. And we do that to our fellow human beings that manifest God at a higher level. We did it to Abraham Lincoln. We had an assassin kill him. We had an assassin kill Martin Luther King. An assassin killed John Kennedy, (though) you might argue how much he manifested Christ.
But we are normally – as human beings – in aggregate predominately a Christ-killer. Or you might ask the question is the human race in predominance primarily a Christ-manifestor? Well clearly, normally even in church, it is Christ-killing.
We have to admit that. I have to admit that about myself. I remember going to some Christian television ministry episodes (live programs) where great men of God came and nothing but jealousy and rage came up in me because they were definitely at a higher level than I. And I am just being honest.
And if you are honest, you could say that your church or my church, or your friends or my friends, or your family or my family honestly can only take so much of Christ and then we turn and rend against whoever is bringing it – just like Jesus Christ Himself said about casting pearls before swine. Don’t do that or they will rend you.
And the typical proverb in the world is, you know, I can only take so much of religion. Or let’s not talk about religion, or politics or anything where it is a subject of truths, most particularly religion. So, honestly realize that all of us are predominately, most of the time the history of the world has shown to be, Christ-killers rather than Christ-manifestors.
That is what was amazing about John, is he early on did the right thing and said he would diminish, Christ would increase, that he (John) wasn’t worthy to tie the sandals (of Christ) and so on and so forth. So when John was on he got it right. And we forgive him for when he was in prison and he lost that position.
But we’ve got to see the truth of it because when we do, that makes us more like Christ. Or we can all be babies and call the “wambulance” and cry along with TBN’s not-so-nice Praise-a-Thonners: Tears for beers to get drunk on self, and self-exaltation, and self-promotion and self on the throne. And jury (rig) up God’s salvation plan for the histrionic, hysterical, clap-trap death trap of the television broadcast insanity. And that’s what the Lord was having me use as Their take (on it being) instead of a broadcast network it is broadcast insanity.
Now the truth is Christ’s Gospel is perfect. His emphasis is perfect. His mix is perfect. His force is perfect. And everything on television ministry is also? Well that is what they are saying this week (on TBN.) No, no a thousand times no!
But they will manifest Christ only to the extent that it mollifies their doctrine of self-proclamation. Any Christ-man who informs these sad parties that so much more of God’s truth is contradicted, counterfeited, countermanded, undermined, sabotaged and assassinated with extreme prejudice by their outrageous antichrist doctrines of lies and brazenly manifested antichrist evil and wicked spirits.
Now those things would, by their reaction to a Christ-man calling out the truth, that would make them want to crucify whoever that Christ-man or woman was. Just like they did to Christ and most every God sent prophet of the age, just like Christ said.
He said if you thought I was connected to Moses and Moses was your father as you are claiming, if a prophet was your father as you are claiming then you would proclaim Me! But they weren’t doing that. And they are still not doing that in the sense when Christ manifests Himself at a high level through someone. This is at once both as silly as a king with no clothes and as tragic as a kingdom with no king.
Now if you look with perspective, for example in American history, how could silliness rise to such tragic levels as in 150 years ago to not only hold Presidential election debates on slavery but to fight a bloody and long civil war to settle the obvious matter; namely, that slavery is unjust and cannot ever be sanctioned?
Yet the history of man is replete with the history of unwarranted tragedy. The nation-saving hero of antebellum enslaved America was the assassinated martyr of post bellum free America. That was Abraham Lincoln.
Truth comes at an extremely high price. It is elevated only when the price is paid to diminish pride. In short, truth prevails at pride’s expense. Or pride prevails at truth’s expense.
See? All of the South, the southern states, if they (had) just agreed with Abraham Lincoln that they were doing the wrong thing, that they were basically evil in holding and maintaining slavery: That was too horrible of a knowledge. They had to go through a civil war and get beat down bad to say, “You know what? It is not worth the price of all southern states being destroyed in totality just for the sake of holding onto pride that we were not wrong in having slavery.”
Finally it came at such a high price, they said, “Forget pride! Robert E. Lee is going to surrender. And we are all going to lick our wounds and not have slavery; to hell with pride.” It took five years of civil war in the United States to get rid of the pride of the wrong doctrine of slavery.
Now, this is what you have today with television ministries, and in particular the faith message and the name-it-claim-it gospel message which is not God’s Gospel. (The faith message has) an extreme high level of pride.
And the Lord showed me a few more things about that. It is a pride Ponzi scheme. You see, it works best for the people at the top who are the ministry leaders. And what they are selling is pride. And they are very prideful of the faith movement leaders. And they put themselves in positions where others are obsequious to them. And it (the faith-name-it-claim-it message) is a pride Ponzi scheme, the Lord was showing me.
And it is one kind of a pyramid structure in pride. The problem is that it makes prideful denizens, a prideful congregation which is terrible because pride never works. You see? But it does work for the people on the top. It is like a Ponzi scheme or a pyramid or Amway.
There is a frightening deal that the same week that I went to the Southwest Believers Convention (in August 2005 in Fort Worth, Texas) was the Amway Convention. And we all got back to the (Dallas/Fortworth) airport at the same time; them full of pride and their pink suitcases and pink everything and us full of pride from having been given a mega dose of pride through immersion teaching of the faith message.
And pride was preserved at all expense. Truth was kept manifested at the lowest of levels, only at tiny levels, only at tolerated levels allowing sufficient pretense to function normally, marginally and controllably under the banner of the name they succeed only in besmirching, that of Christ.
For it is obvious Christ was a critic of tithing, for example. His red letters say so. Three times they say so.
So two things that the faith movement and the television ministries sell is pride, and that is what you see with this Praise-a-Thon. And the other thing is the tithing. And both of them work for the top leaders. Actually it puts them in hell. But on earth they believe that they are doing O.K.
The lower echelons, just like in a Ponzi scheme or just like in a pyramid scheme, they are suffering. They are basically having to consume the product like Amway or somebody. At the lowest levels, they are not selling to anybody, they are consuming and at a higher price than normal.
(This) makes the people at the top end having everything distributed (to themselves), including praise and income and goodies, without much work other than just organizing everyone else to believe to support the structure, which is so much of what the faith movement message is. (It) is to organize to support the structure with this pie-in-the-sky message to help the lost.
Yet in the faith ministry for example even though Christ criticized tithing, you have Jesse Duplantis say the Devil cannot tempt you to tithe, and I add: wrongly. And that is contrary to Christ’s red-letter spoken words. Because the Devil had tempted those people to tithe and they tithed wrong.
So here is an example, and most all of TBN ministers are an example, of a word based faith ministry gone berserk with an insane, inane doctrine antithetical to the word they claim adherence to.
It is Big Brother revisionist insanity. It is George Orwell’s 1984 contradictory “War is Peace” illogic. It is mind-raping perversion of the highest order, all unchallenged all-embraced, all-crazy by the on air evangelists of Trinity Broadcast Insanity.
For the tithe-to-me doctrine is shrouded with deceiving doctrines and deceiving spirits; the others being name-it-and-claim-it with the self-service of “your money is my honey.”
In other words, a quickened mind would perceive the message of give-tithes-to-get-goodies is self-serving to ministries. The self-serving could be eliminated by its proclaimers saying, “Tithe to anybody but us!” But that is never their message. It is, “Tithe to us and succeed!”
But only ministry heralds of that doctrine have their income vouchsafed. In other words the guy who says, “Tithe to my ministry because God will make good things happen to you in other arenas” one thing is for sure: In the arena of that ministry’s income, it is pretty good because a tithe can really be significant. The tithe of a person’s income, if they have a substantial income, it is really significant.
So again you have your leaders saying to everyone else, “Tithe to our ministry.” But everyone else is not having an income from that ministry, are they? Only the leaders of the ministry are getting those goodies. So it is, by definition, self-serving. But they are not going to give much talk about (themselves) being self-serving. So a quickened mind would ask this.
(Or more honest hypocrites would say, tithe to me and mine while you all get others to tithe to you and “yourn”. Actually, this is probably just what you see with the obsequious bishops and honorary doctors and other fawning pawns who surround and support the mega ministry TV leaders. Those minions of minors parlay their opportunities to peak the “Pay-Raise the Lord Prosperity Pyramid.”)
By the way, there is a website, what is the name of it? Ministry Watch, that is highly critical of many of the ministries that I have talked about, number one (being) TBN, and they are recommending that you prayerfully consider whether or not to support them because of their gross variance at prudent fiscal disclosure and management. They claim $170 million a year income of TBN and having an excess cash reserve of $30-40 million and here they are begging like they are going broke, a jet worth $7.5 million and other bizarre anomalies that are so wicked and bizarre in their scope that I don’t want to repeat them here. But you can find them easily on the internet.
A quickened mind would ask if 10 million world-wide viewers each averaged a $50,000 household income then their tithe would be $5,000 per year or $416 per month. However, then the gross income to TBN would be $50 billion. Now again they (Ministry Watch) said it is $170 million, but I’m saying if they succeeded with 10 million viewers that would be their (theoretical) income.
That is a lot of money for a network owned by not mentioned on the website, whose board of directors are not mentioned on the website, whose financials are not mentioned on the website, whose assets and liabilities are not mentioned on the website, and other such interesting notable absences of disclosure, and how the movie division (of Matthew Crouch) is tied in with free advertising and guilt-trip ticket sale operations.
But 10 years of such an income, which we are imagining (at TBN), would be half a trillion dollars, which even Donald Trump might pay some mind, if not ministry partners.
Now I have exaggerated this example to get your attention, you see. And even at that $170 million per year (estimated by Ministry Watch) is pretty good. Perhaps you can see the deceptive spirits. One of them (a website critic) said the income of Benny Hinn’s ministry is $100 million per year.
So these are big, huge operators. Perhaps now you can see the deceptive spirits that would be operating to stop such honest inquiry and honest thoughts occurring in your mind regarding TBN’s tearful, crocodile tears, and emotional false anointing pleas for tithes, and gifts and love offerings.
Now, it is not simple just like the slavery issue and the American Civil War were not simple. Yes, TBN does good and the others.
But remember, Christ blasted the religious leaders of His day even though without them there would have been no scriptures to quote to the Devil when He was in the wilderness, no cousin to baptize Him, no temples to preach from, no book of Isaiah to read from, no people to preach to who were aware of the basic tenants of the Hebrew faith.
This complex world in which mankind has always lived provides no simplistic, easy path of behavior; no not even the seemingly righteous rule-based behavior as espoused by the Pharisees and Sadducees of Christ’s day. That wasn’t approved by Christ nor, I tell you, are the bizarre Christian television world-wide ministries of today, where they like Paula White, should I have said Black, talked today with about eight or twelve things over, and over and over again. They are saying: Do this, tithe to us and everything will work out great.
Again, this complex world in which mankind has always lived provides no simplistic, easy path of behavior. So likewise even though the whole religious establishment was there for Christ to criticize, the same thing is true and it is not hypocritical or unbiblical to do the same thing about the television Christian ministries. You see? Christ can damn both of them if He wants to.
For did He not say He will surprise multitudes in their judgment when He will say to them He wasn’t fed, clothed or visited by them in truth? He will say He didn’t know them and they didn’t know Him. And they go to hell, to hell they go, sirs and madams, all for nothing!
And so, this hard truth is a well-avoided truth. And instead of it being told, instead of God’s greater, and more glorious, and more difficult, and more humbling, and pride exposing, wrong-doctrine-killing and ultimately life-saving truth of God’s manifested salvation plan, which is Christ manifested in us.
Instead of all that, worldwide television ministry continues its cry-along, emotion-along, try-anything-but-humility-along, go-along, get-along, praise anything but God in truth and spirit, love and make lots-and-lots-and-lots a lies-along: THAT is what is happening. It certainly is enough to make any man of God with the mind of God sad, or angry, or sick, or frustrated or resigned.
But God is never undiminished, only us. God’s purposes cannot be frustrated, only ours. God’s will cannot be countered. God’s nature cannot be mocked. God’s activities cannot be controlled. God’s justice cannot be denied. God’s wrath cannot be quelled. God’s fury cannot be avoided.
God’s ancient paths of recompense and requiting cannot be summarily dismissed by the oh-so-modern, oh-so-with-it global leaders who strive valiantly to be the self-proclaimed Christian apologists of the age with world wide audiences in the tens of millions, broadcasting on half a hundred satellites, and thousands of broadcast towers and through world wide internet capabilities.
These leaders cannot at once reach, and build and maintain dominate Christian thrones of power and simultaneously avoid all pretense of responsibility, responsiveness and relativity regarding secular or religious inquiries. They answer no public question, inquires or fiscal determinations. They hide behind walls of obfuscation better than do drug dealers, pimps, cartels or corrupt dictators of any kind of any age.
Again, the people on the Christian TV that fight, and have reached, and built and maintained dominate Christian thrones of power cannot absolve themselves of the responsibility of the positions that they put themselves in. More than any public figure of any epoch, they enjoy positions of power without fear of recall, inquiry or removal by any means. In delusion they believe they have got it made. And the saddest part is they could have been great instead of garbage.
But the truth is they are setting themselves (up) for a perceived unlimited security that will result in only unlimited graft, and corruption and grief. And all the purging will not be pretty. It will be pitiful. It will be utterly ruthless and thorough.
And it is clear that God’s hand of authority, and blessing, and promotion, and anointing and future is not with the self-acclaimed elect of the faith movement, (the) crazy Pentecostals of the global television ministry. No it is clear God can rely on His warriors of truth which are appearing from the Protestant ranks of sane ministry, and Catholic radio, Catholic TV, some sane black preachers who choose majesty over mojo, Protestant arenas such as Adrian Rogers, Ed Young and others: Any sane men, any sane women who are in the ministry to feed God’s sheep, not promote their pride, position, book sales, movie sales (or) convention sales.
By the way, there is criticism on the internet about (how) all Christian preachers who have mega ministry television outreaches should return any income they have from book sales to those ministries, because that is how they are able to sell so many books so often, rather than just have it as their personal income. That was a point I thought quite interesting.
Anyway, these good sheep-feeding ministries will watch their bellicose, pride-filled, more pig than preacher brethren from the crazed Pentecostal area go down in flames, and that quickly. It will be ugly. It will happen. Nothing but truth can stop it now.
And one thing these crazed, on the ecstasy drug pride Pentecostal TV preachers cannot receive now is truth. They are as those written of in the Book of Revelation; to save their lives, they cannot buy truth. To save their souls, they cannot buy truth. To save their families, they cannot buy truth. They are too far gone in pride.
Witness the horror of it all. Doomed and damned they march into hell deceived, delighted, destroyed, fools pulling fools pushing fools to hell they march: Unhappy idiots forever immersing themselves in wrong doctrine trying to convince themselves of their own happiness. They give to get, support the prideful so they can be proud, out Amway all, out pyramid scheme the scoundrels of the ages, they overestimate their leaders so they can overestimate themselves while they underestimate God, and allow themselves in crowds to be controlled to perform as desired so they can believe it all controls their god as they desire.
All in all, one big titanic ship of fools believed to be unsinkable, merrily speeding across an ocean of idiocy awaiting that one decisive, jarring contact which will rip her, and sink her and doom her passengers; that contact successfully avoided for so long; that inevitable, sudden, come-quickly contact with that towering iceberg of God’s cold, hard truth.
And down, down, down will go the ship of fools, and the fools of the ship and all the accoutrements of fools, and all that was foolish, including their doctrines of rapture, eternal security and second coming; titanically foolish, titanically wrong and titanically a lie.
God will prove once again God is God, man isn’t God, God is to be feared and to think otherwise is tragic. God wants to manifest in our lives. We must believe His correct doctrines to do so. It is altogether lovely to manifest Christ, altogether horrible to not do so – like the pride that is so often manifested in the Christian ministries. We are to be about God’s business of manifesting Himself, which is His love. And the time to do so is now.
And we know we cannot manifest God if we are prideful, or foolish or baby-like holding on to wrong doctrine, exalting ourselves or our ministries, or having to immerse ourselves in mindless endless repetition, or to say no to God and His Holy Spirit or our unpredictable Christ in any way.
And the current crop of enthroned, global-TV ministers are so prideful as to be often useless to God except by wrong example. And soon all will be clear because it will be cleared up.
So, hold on to God and behold His coming!
I thank you for that, Father.
Regarding: Written Notes from Robert Burke, Truth Manifested = Christ Manifested:
[And again, as these teachings have explained, Christ’s coming isn’t literal at this point. Yet is not Christ truth? So the truths revealed in the In That Day Teachings help bring His coming. And your receiving any of those truths help you, as a matter of fact, manifest more of Christ. This is how it works and why true doctrine is so vital. Conversely, so much of modern ministry is a demonstration of how it doesn’t work and why false doctrine is so horrific: Jesus can’t manifest sufficiently and the minister can do little but get in trouble in a variety of ways, chief of which is being Christ antithetical.
But suppose a mega minister should go on a secret pride fast – a fast without drumming up accolades of praise for his heretofore highly acclaimed self – and makes greater connection with God in humility, and begins to oppose the network ministry madness of pledge mandates tied to prosperity promises, recants of making antichrist disciples through dispensationalist dogmas such as the rapture, confesses publicly he had partaken in the lords-of-lunacy self-promotion of each other’s mega ministry personages, stops the guileful quid pro quo ministry book (or any other God forsaken thing) selling, quits fast-talking pulpit jive, chooses to employ spirits of godly majesty instead of witchcraft mojo, no longer controls the willing-and-wanting-to-be-duped audiences but works with the Holy Spirit to teach them to be aware and wary of manipulating wiles, becomes himself truly accessible to the poor unconnected instead of building sanctimonious security enclaves (wherein wrong ideas are protected from discovery), rids him or herself of staff sycophants, sheds his or her honorary degree or otherwise undeserved titles, and so on ad infinitum; then Christ might possibly be able to manifest greater through that more honest, less deceived and less deceiving mega minister.
As lighting goes from east to west across the sky, burning all that is stubble in its indiscriminate path to ground, this manifesting ever greater levels of light will not only bring Father God’s kingdom of heaven to earth, it will also bring our very Lord Jesus Christ to manifest Himself with His Holy Spirit in greater and greater portions in each and every possible true-thinking, true-speaking and true-acting man, woman and child.
Truly, truly then: Truth manifested is Christ manifested.
Truly, truly then: Truth manifested is Christ manifested.
Truly, truly then: Truth manifested is Christ manifested.
Even so, come, Lord Jesus.]
Amen, and Amen and Amen.
