What About the Future?

 

Christianity seems to understand the past well enough.  It is the future that is the problem.   What should we do in the future?  Indeed.  Do we await rapture, an imminent second coming or do nothing and bank on eternal security?  This body of work hopes to provide a better answer:  We manifest Christ and we manifest Christ now.   People so enabled, in fact, create a new heaven on earth now.  And this better future is honest, real, biblical and personally attainable to each of us.

 

The Bible informs us that Father, Son and Spirit are transcendent.  On judgment day Jesus says those who didn’t help the downtrodden didn’t help…Him, while those who did help the downtrodden actually did help…Him.  Jesus identifies with us that closely.  Yet common church teachings seem to distance Him from us, teaching to hope for His return to fix what we can’t.  This body of work explains Jesus manifests in us to basically fix or restore all things, if we have the right faith, spirit and truth.

 

I Could be Wrong

 

In all of this I must say:  I could be wrong.  I am no expert.  Better minds than mine have studied this more.  Correct me if I am wrong.  The Bible is not clear on this and we all come to different conclusions.  Parts of the Bible completely baffle me. 

 

It has not been easy assembling these truths, precepts and doctrines.  Of course devils have tried to keep me from creating anything of merit.  I hope you, dear reader, do not believe they have met with much success. 

 

Nevertheless be patient with me and expect to find great things herein.  I hope what you find will increase your stature, wisdom and favor with God and man. 

 

Wrong Expectations

 

Two thousand years ago, Jews in Palestine expected Jesus’ appearance would mean a kingdom like David’s would come.  The disciples jockeyed for position.  But they were wrong, weren’t they?  Almost everybody was. 

 

They had the wrong expectations.  The Jews put the burden on Jesus to help them escape the troubles of their personal and national lives.  Yet their Roman governor, Pontius Pilot, was correct to post above Jesus’ cross: “King of the Jews.”  Jesus was king of the Jews.  But the Jews were almost completely deceived by their expectations.

 

Today people expect Jesus’ appearance will mean either a rapture that takes believers immediately to heaven or that Jesus will stay and make a kingdom, more or less, like David’s once again.  Christian media ministers almost seem to be jockeying for position either in a future rapture of some kind or a future Jesus’ earth kingdom of some kind.  But are these expectations of Christian leaders – and their followers – wrong? 

 

Are people once again putting the burden on Jesus to help them escape the troubles of their personal and national lives?  Yet they are correct to believe King Jesus will return in the clouds.  For He is the triumphant returning king, king of the cloud of witnesses, who are saints.  But perhaps believers today are deceived by their expectations.

 

Since Christians believe that more Jews should have recognized the appearance of Jesus two thousand years ago did; then is it also possible that maybe the same kind of thing is happening today?  Are Christians who should recognize Jesus, missing Him when He appears?

 

Consider that a good general is surprising.  He beats the enemy by being surprising.  And our God is the general of all generals.  He is a man of war.  (Exodus 15:3)  Thus, God is surprising.  This ability to surprise us is one of the things Christians least comprehend, appreciate and love about God.  But we had better start loving God for His ability to surprise us.  And we had better start doing this quickly.

 

How, then, does surprise work on the enemy?  First, the enemy must be confident about a weakness it is blind about, usually because of pride.  So the good army attacks the enemy’s weak position, for example a weak position in the left flank.  The enemy thought it was strong on its left, but pride and arrogance blinded the enemy; else it would have humbly reinforced its weak flank.

 

So this is how generals on both sides of a fight look for weakness to exploit.  Even more profound, generals look for pride to exploit.  And perhaps the enemy of our souls, Satan, has found much pride and arrogance to exploit in Christianity.  Perhaps Satan has exploited our expectations of Jesus.  And perhaps the wayward church has found several means of escape to satisfy wrong expectations about Jesus’ return.

 

Perhaps the wayward church has Jesus’ expectations about us completely backwards.  The wayward church expects to escape the scourge of tribulation through rapture.  Maybe this is backwards to the real expectations of Jesus.  Maybe this escapology is bad.

 

The wayward church also expects to be rewarded by Jesus who returns in body to fix all things, except – of course – the wayward church!  Maybe this also is backwards to the real expectations of Jesus.  Maybe both these escapology beliefs are bad doctrines.

 

And finally, the wayward church expects heaven’s reward for being in-name-only believers:  something called eternal security.  Maybe this too is backwards to the real expectations of Jesus.  Maybe these triune escapology beliefs are wrong doxie.

 

Maybe it is time to forgo the wayward church’s expectations of Jesus.  And maybe it is time to discover just what Jesus expects of His believers in this day.  To this proposition I have dedicated my In That Day Teachings, a series of precepts and doctrines explaining Christianity’s problems and promises of today.

 

With humility, know that two thousand years ago God-fearing folk like you and me – the Jews of Palestine – were so steeped in pride and tradition they were mostly blind to their savior’s coming.  It may therefore not be heresy, but rather the surprising truth that now something quite similar might be happening again.

 

After all, history has an unfortunate way of repeating itself.  Knowing this, let us change history!  A handful of surprising disciples did two thousand years ago.  Words, ideas and people can change the world.  And God knows, we need change!

 

Continuous Quick Returns, One Final Return

 

People have argued about Jesus’ return since, well, He left.  Those believing in an imminent singular return have been wrong for about two thousand years.  That is a lot of years to be wrong, don’t you think?

 

The Bible supports two kind of returns of Jesus:  First, an immediate spiritual return in indwelt vessels; a return that appears to quickly come and go generally in some, but comes and stays longer and stronger in a few.  Let’s call this a quick return. 

 

Second, at the end of time, Jesus returns in His personal body to finalize all things.  This can be called the final return

 

Notice I did not use the rapture word.  I don’t believe it.  But I have found believing in a quick return in the very Spirit of Jesus, along with a final return of Jesus at the end to be very congruous to the Bible, and actually very harmonious to all I believe to be good. the enemy of good.

 

This proposal might first appear to blasphemous, but dear reader I invite you to discover how the myriad puzzle pieces of this doctrinal picture describes a beautiful world that God very much wants us to inhabit.

 

Look then, at these teachings, their lines, their precepts, their possibilities.  Like a mythic knight or heroic princess let us adventure together betwixt a battlefield of lies and truth, doing always good.  For the brave of heart, it is where we want to be, doing what we were born to do and dreaming of the possibilities.  This is how dragons are tamed, evil is vanquished and kingdoms of good come into the land of the living.

 

Rosetta Stone

 

This work could be viewed as a Rosetta Stone, providing a more unified theory of God’s future.  The first concept is that the art of escaping – or escapology – is not good when avoiding responsibility in God.  Even worse is triune escapology, which is faith in escape by a) rapture, b) an imminent second coming to reward escapist slackers and c) absolution of all Christian duties through so-called eternal security.  The second concept is we must obtain enough righteousness and holiness, including scourging out doxie-driven demons in our souls, such that Jesus can manifest in our spirit and truth.   

 

Thus these teachings offer the rugged highway to manifesting Jesus and closer fellowship with God.  An extra benefit is to understand ever present (but normally ignored) confirming or denying Mark 16:20 signs from God in your everyday life!

 

Another important benefit, by the way, would be greater world peace.  If more people could hear and obey God, wouldn’t this planet be better?  An orchestra needs a conductor.  Our planet has one, but not enough players have been able to hear and obey Him.  The wayward church has focused primarily on enlisting orchestra members.  I want to help those members hear and obey the conductor. 

 

But the wayward church seems to have lost its desire to teach its members how to play the songs of life professionally.  Instead, we orchestra members are taught to expect to leave the stage, and that soon!  So these teachings might enable God’s orchestra members to comprehend better the sheet music, which is the Bible; the conductor, which is God’s leading Spirit; and the resulting musical performance, which is this life we live.  But meanwhile, the cacophony is deafening.

 

I seek neither to lead a cult nor a church.  Rather I seek to heal the wayward body of Christ.  Then perhaps the earnestly sought revivals can occur.

 

Orthodoxy Challenged

 

This work challenges conventional orthodoxy.  Consider that sometimes orthodoxy today is something morphed into the opposite of what it might have originally been.  Orthodoxy of yesteryear might have been truth, but time and traditions of men may have changed it into today’s lie.  This was what Jesus said He encountered.  In this, do not be outraged or offended.  Our Savior said, “Blessed are they who are not offended in Me.”  Offenses come to truth seekers because they discover their own lies within themselves. 

 

Let us be mature in this.  The televised church has been mostly immature regarding the pain of growth in God.  Televised Christianity has been loath to point out any mordant truths about itself.  The ultimate prejudice is the prejudice against self-incriminating truths.  In this, the modern church is very prejudiced.  In fact, it appears to be more prejudiced against self-incriminating truths than any other organization.  Businesses self-correct.  Governments self-correct.  Armies self-correct.  But the church refuses.

 

True growth in Christ comes at a cost of eliminating lies.  This cost is similar to the inescapable pain a mountain climber handles in higher summits.  The sufferings a mountain climber experiences to reach great altitude are numerous: heat, cold, hunger, pain and peril.  Is it not the same in climbing spiritual Mount Zion?  And what high mountains are without danger?  Dare we approach God without fear?  Yet the average Christian message typically consists of well-repeated mantras about conversion, attendance, contribution and easy doctrines.  Seldom ever is there mention that higher truths in God have higher costs in life.

 

Consider that the antebellum American South had such hubris it could not foresee that in 150 years, the institution of slavery would be universally scorned, and that its Nineteenth Century practitioners would be harshly judged by Twenty-first Century moderns.

 

What is interesting about this is that we in pride of modernity seldom ask ourselves, by what criteria will we be harshly judged by others in the coming centuries?

 

Are we now incapable of doing of evil in God’s sight?  What egregious institutions of Baal are we now worshipping?  What false idols are in our midst?  Who are we enslaving by the accepted false doctrines of the day?  What high towers must come down?

 

We seem obsessed with congratulating ourselves over how much smarter, better and further along in progress we are compared to our ancestors of old.  But we have stopped progressing in truth in this modern age, and are therefore perhaps more guilty than any generation of halting the progress of man towards his Maker, divine reconciliation and this earth’s much needed restoration of all things.

 

Perhaps in a hundred years or less, triune escapology will be universally scorned as failed doxie that earned its leaders billions of dollars, but its followers nothing much more than lessons in gullibility and the consequences of supine weakness.

 

If God could speak through a person freely, what would He say to us?  What if God could not speak freely through His own who are of great renown and reputation?  What if by necessity and lack of others so inclined, God had to speak through a man of no reputation, whose life was unmet by anybody’s standards of noteworthy success?  What then, would God say?

 

Dear reader: Condemn me, curse me or believe me.  I offer no proof, only a sincere apology for any errors which I have allowed into this work.  Be assured gross errors have been culled from the work.  I have tried and failed.  And I have tried and succeeded, or so I believe.  Like hieroglyphic marks on the ancient tomb walls in the Valley of Kings in Egypt, cross outs have been allowed.

 

God necessarily must work with fallible humans on earth, for that which is perfect while abundant in heaven is scarce on earth.  And be assured, in all the days of my life on earth never once have I been accused of being perfect.  Have you, who may be tempted to judge and condemn me, a record of perfection in God’s sight?  No?  Then let us proceed as brothers and sisters in humility towards the goal of perfection, towards the Divine, towards our Savior, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

 

Who Is Robert Winkler Burke?

 

In 2008 I am 54 years old, twice-divorced and live in Reno, Nevada.  I own an interest in construction and trucking companies in town.  I earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California in 1978.  I hold a general contracting licenses in both California and Nevada.  I worked in construction in the 1980s in Southern California.  During the early 1990’s I owned a small computer consulting business in South Orange County, California.  In 2001, I moved to Reno and began my construction operations.   My three sons live in Southern California and are attending high school and college.  My hobbies include playing the piano, hiking, bicycling, exercising and dancing to country western.  I own two Golden Retrievers.  I am not a member of a church.

 

As for the two divorces, I believe they were permitted biblically while also believing myself to be a sorry fool for being unable to keep things peaceful.  Both wives ended up being strongly opposed to my desire to follow God, but it is best to recuse myself from further comment lest I say unfair things about who, after all, put up with me. 

 

How This Book Was Written:

 

I made video camera recordings which teach about Christianity in general and the biblical “In That Day” in particular. Towards the end of many of these “teachings,” the voice of God came through me.  I then uploaded these 30 to 60 minute recordings onto a website called www.inthatdayteachings.com, as well as Google’s video website.  I then transcribed the utterances, and put them on my website and assembled them into a book.

 

Further, the video recordings show that as I talked about doctrines of God I became more anointed.  As I became more anointed my weak voice gained authority.  In the latter videos my spirit sometimes became transcendent to the point I speak as a prophet speaking the words of God. 

 

This pattern appears to have been attempted by Job and his three friends, who were unable to attain such confirmation of their “part true” doctrines they discussed.  However, young Elihu came along – with correct spirit and doctrine – and gained the voice of God. 

 

Whereas Job and his friends displayed a fair amount of pride, Elihu was sufficiently humble for the task.  He was perhaps so mindful to be humble that he may have written the book of Job and left out evidence that he was the prophet through whom God spoke.  Anyway, the point is that it is perhaps normal in God’s eyes for doctrine to be discussed and true doctrine confirmed by signs.  This explains the last verse of Mark, the last chapter of Revelation, and – if you think about it – why the wayward church is so spiritless, which in turn explains why the wayward church has infantile doctrines.  Signs of life or not life follow everything, if you have spiritual eyes to see!

 

Joel 2:28-29 says:  And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:  And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

 

These much quoted Bible verses mention that we are to expect great spiritual things in the future from ourselves and family members.  Great!  But what if it actually began happening?  What then?  Do we flush all new revelations down the toilet?  Perhaps this effort of mine is just part of a continuing process of multitudes so enabled, so inclined, so empowered.  So when people manifest new things of God as Joel 2:28-29 mandates, prepare to bless or reject them.  But be careful because  Jesus said until you say blessed is he who comes in the name (which is the nature) of the Lord, your house (which is your person) will remain unto you desolate (which means lifeless without God’s indwelling.)

 

Why, When and How This Book Was Written:

 

I received Christian teachings from a prophet, who is now deceased, during the years 1994 through 2001.  In late 2004, I felt called to make video recordings communicating these Christian teachings or doctrines.  They address the popular Christian church culture of America, most especially Christian television ministries.  I hope I have matured enough to communicate successfully what is true.

 

This book was assembled from transcribed utterances of video session teachings during 2006 and 2007.

 

Because the video recordings are available at the above-mentioned website, anyone can see how the utterances happened in real time, and check the accuracy of transcription.  I sometimes corrected grammar during the transcription, sometimes not.  Some repeated or superfluous words have been eliminated for clarity.  Some words were changed.

 

Why so Many Different Formats in This Book?

 

This book presupposes that true doctrines are quite difficult to absorb – more difficult than advanced scientific study – and so therefore poetry, humor, parables, transcribed utterances and other formats are included as necessary aids to epiphany. 

 

To believe advanced truths are easily received is to believe climbing a 20,000 foot mountain is easily done.  To do either means you cannot be lazy, out of shape or unwilling to risk yourself to obtain the necessary height.  In this modern world we are at risk of believing in artificial realities that require virtually nothing to inhabit.

 

If this work ever achieves popular distribution, I hope that good people will decide that whatever my shortcomings, I have delivered something of worth to the world.  Popular distribution would mean many feathers would be ruffled.  And consequently many will say, in effect, I am guilty such and such.  I hope what is presented herein is of sufficient quality to overcome future objections against me.

 

Why so Much Discussion of Common Christian Doctrines?

 

This book emphasizes that wrong doctrines and beliefs in common Christianity must be abandoned to receive the truth and best survive the future here and in eternity.

 

At the heart of the matter are very simple things, really.  At the bottom of most any issue is a truth or a lie.  A collection of truths or lies make a doctrine.  A collection of doctrines make a philosophy of life.  A collection of like-minded lives creates a denomination, or as is just as prevalent these days – a non-denomination.  A collection of denominations or non-denominations makes a movement, or just as prevalent these days – a non-movement.  True movements are revivals.  Since the world is experiencing very little in the way of revival, the truth seems to be that there is little movement in God.

 

Now the little movement in God is humankind’s problem, and not God’s fault.  I am convinced that God is a very moving God.  We have tarried, since for Him it is impossible.  This book proposes many solutions on how to get the world, or more precisely individuals in the world, moving with God’s movements. 

 

So my long-term goal in this book is to achieve some kind of noteworthy Christian movement, or revival.  Wouldn’t that be nice!

 

Does This Work Contain Flaws?

 

Certainly.  Most books do, don’t they?  I confess to have made near unforgivable mistakes along the way.  I have taken wrong paths and called them right.  I have been corrected.  I confess I am perfectly fallible and yet still believe we can obtain spiritual maturity, which is what God is looking for in the verse, “Be ye perfect as I am perfect.”

 

I will apologize for repetition that appears throughout this work.  It is, I know, strange.  Some repetition is necessary.  Perhaps much is not.  Maybe I’ve been consumed with a “Liar, liar, pants on fire,” childish taunting spirit.  Perhaps truths long caged need flight.

 

Does This Work Contain Malice to Named Others?

 

Abraham Lincoln said:  “With malice toward none; with charity for all; with firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on…”

 

Mr. Lincoln was still at war with the South when he gave these “malice toward none” lines at his Second Inauguration.  So, see that it is a cheap thing to regale against a small contradiction and ignore the greater teaching available at a perhaps greater position.  (i.e. Don’t say Lincoln was a hypocrite to profess his kind-hearted benevolence while conducting a war costing 600,000 lives; because that war kept the states of America united.  And the slaves were freed.  And a United States of America beat tyranny in two world wars, the Cold War and – God willing – now in another war against terror.

 

Like the Bible, this work does excoriate certain named individuals who are leaders in religion.  Yes, they perform good deeds – even as the religious establishment in Jesus’ time no doubt performed good deeds.  However, John the Baptist and Jesus were called to point out where the doctrinal system was failing, where individuals were failing, where extortion was happening, where hypocrisy was happening and where souls were being blocked from greater fellowship with God.

 

Mega-ministries can take corrections offered in this work to their betterment.  If they can better worship God in spirit and truth, then they can help their followers manifest Christ at greater levels.  It is win-win for everybody.

 

What if Robert Winkler Burke is Vilified?

 

If what I say is true I will be vilified, that is just how the world works.  If what I say is not true, then I will also be vilified, for that also is how the world works.  So you can count on a fair share of vilification going on.  (Just discern my accusers’ spirits!)

 

But how can any speaker speaking of religion be trusted if he is twice-divorced?  This question speaks directly to freedom of choice in all people, even in those married to God’s seekers.  All such are free to give a glass of cold water to – or break the glass against the head of – a righteous man or woman. 

 

The point is a normal fellow achieved this work, not a saint sequestered in a monastery, not a lout condemned of heinous crimes.  To the religious, perhaps I will be dismissed as a sinful lout.  To the non-religious, perhaps I will be dismissed as a delusional heretic.

 

To those who do not dismiss me I offer encouragement that it is possible to see spiritually, hear spiritually and grow beyond what passes for normal church doctrine (i.e. the rapture, the imminent second coming to rescue an immature church, eternal security, prosperity extremism, dry bones intellectualism, mojo soulish insanity, seeker friendly love mush, etc.) and grow.

 

And the growth that is possible through understanding these teachings, which actually are confirmed in the Bible, while costly, points toward a bright future that is also confirmed in the Bible.  It is a future without dispensational fear of being left behind or worse.  Rather it is a future where every person is rewarded for the spiritual progress they have made.   The result: a balanced world comes down from heaven to earth from the harmonious body parts of Christ.  This makes the restoration of all things.

 

Is Robert Winkler Burke a Libertine?

 

If I am, who was John the Baptist to avoid synagogues, or Jesus a mentor, or David King Saul or Joseph a normal life or any man or woman separated by God for His mysterious purposes?  Yes, I have seldom enjoyed the covering of a church or pastor; but the work I have produced necessitated my solitude as a mercy to all.

 

The question should be has my freedom from ecclesiastic oversight produced good?

 

Is This a Deeply Intelligent Work?

 

Maybe not.  But maybe this work is a far sight more pungent, cogent and intelligent than the typical television preacher’s three point sermon or his twelfth, or twenty-fourth, or thirty-sixth “life changing” book. 

 

Question:  If you produced two to five hours of television programs per week, managed a large congregation and church grounds, preached on the weekend, held ministry conferences, traveled to conventions, operated a growing media network and raised money for your executive jet, how much brilliant revelation would be available to put in your score of books?  Or would it be time to hire a ghost writer?

 

So please judge the copious fruit of this work.  It explains much, including why so many Christians are weak characters.  Why so many media preachers seem to be consumed in pride.  Why so many preachers are ignorant of the spirits in which they preach.  Why prosperity ministries crash and burn only to be replaced by new prosperity ministries that crash and burn.  Why the church loves to rearrange deck chairs on its titanic ship of foolishness rather than to reject wrong doctrines and turn away from icebergs.  Why the dispensational church is completely blind to the true church’s future.  Why Christian media ministries, publishers and convention purveyors want another escapist gimmick to sell.  Why the Christian preaching machine often tells everybody to get ready for things that are not clear, nor ever happen, nor seem capable of ever happening.

 

Is Robert Winkler Burke an antichrist?

 

The other day I was listening to a Calvary radio program, and some “Christian Cops” were taking phone calls.  One caller asked, Aren't faith-filled arenas antichrist?  Oh yes, they said that places where supposed gold dust falls, supposed feathers fall and – most onerous of all – the supposed presence of God falls, well that is antichrist.  And they quoted “Take heed that ye be not deceived” from Luke 21:8.

 

The next caller asked, Isn’t tolerance antichrist?  Oh yes, they said that colleges and ministries that allowed all things, all discussion...That is antichrist.  Again they quoted how to “be not deceived.”

 

Of course, the Christian Cops didn't pray about any incidents mentioned.  They knee-jerked their opinions.  (See glossary:  Have No Opinion.)  And they pulled out their “book 'em Danny” scriptures indicating all others’ egregious errors while simultaneously somehow attaining an unquestionable perfection.  (So saying of themselves, I am Christ.)

 

Except during this radio segment, the spirits that the Christian Cops were of was lousy.  They, in fact, were manifesting pretty darn good antichrist spirits themselves at the time!  (As discernable from their tone of voice, spirit they were of and lack of authority and truth in their beings at the time; along with complete lack of confirmation in my own spirit and, yes, God’s Spirit in me.)

 

It never is easy to be of the right spirit and truth.  It is never easy to manifest Christ.  But what is the alternative?  That's right, though they may never believe it, the Christian Cops regularly choose to manifest another entity besides Jesus who can appear globally: antichrist his own rotten self.  This while they pointed out other supposed antichrists!

 

The Christian Cops make devils seven times worse than themselves, and they don't even know it!  But it is kind of hard to make this point without joining in with the Devil.

 

Is This Book Paramount?

 

Throughout my teachings I explain that truth and the kingdom of heaven is a progressive operation of revelation.  So no, this book and its doctrines are not paramount, though they are somewhat higher than what is commonly available.  But these teachings are not so high as to be inscrutable. 

 

Higher teachings than these surely exist, but such mysterious things of God are only for the most mature in Christ.  I am not that mature.  But I loath immature Christian messages.  So there you have it.  I am, and my teachings are, between great Christian immaturity and maturity.  Most all of us, in truth, are “betweeners” needing some gentle and sometimes not so gentle goading to move on up the maturity ladder of Christ.

 

Only God is paramount.  We all can be corrected.  We all can learn more.  Common church teachings deny this, or so it would seem.

 

Do these teachings claim to antecede the Bible? 

 

Of course not.  Current church teachings seem to utterly ignore God’s desires for man’s transcendence with Him.  If the scriptures are taken in this light, and not in utter literal fashion, much growth in truth and God is possible.  See John 17 for transcendentalism.

 

For example you could say George Washington and Abraham Lincoln are all literally dead.  But you could just as easily say that in America their spirits live on.  In our coinage, every quarter and one dollar bill has the likeness of Washington, and every penny and five dollar bill has the likeness of Lincoln.

 

The Great Moments with Mr. (Abraham) Lincoln exhibit at Disneyland once put it this way:  “We pay tribute here not to a man who lived a century ago, but to an individual who lives today in the hearts of all freedom living people.  His prophetic words are as valid for our time as they were for his.”

 

Now you could argue that Washington’s work ceased in 1799 and Lincoln’s in 1865, but wouldn’t that be narrow minded?  Broadly speaking their work, which was liberty’s imposition of dedicated self-restraint in government, still employs the faithful.

 

Jesus said three times: “Behold, I come quickly.”  And you can say that means He will literally come in a cloud to rectify all humankind’s woes.  Or you can say that spiritually means He will come in the cloud of our faces as we allow Him to manifest through us in spirit and truth.  To believe the former is sort of a cop out.  To believe the latter requires serious faith, work, humility, patience, cost and more! 

 

It is easy to see why so much church doctrine has taken an effortless approach of believing Jesus did it all… and that if anything else needs doing, well, Jesus will return and do that too.  Believing such doctrine tends to create passive stupor, not active virtue.

 

But the difficult truths of God must be met on this our battlefield of life.  Then we will have a hunger for truth like US Marines in battle have for ammunition. 

 

So praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!  Current religion seems to stop at praise the Lord.  Here then is more ammunition in the form of truth.  Shoot not at me, dear reader.  First shoot out any wrong doctrines and any wrong spirits you may have allowed into your Christian life.

 

Then come to truth.  You, me, all of us can always receive more truth.  It should be our problem.  It has been said the problem with Abraham Lincoln’s life is that he kept growing.  I would that that be the problem with all of God’s children!

 

How Is This Book’s “Revelation” Different?

 

Unfortunately the religious establishment tends to reject just about everything new, while accepting whatever the establishment has morphed into along the way.  This book’s teachings explain what God is doing that is new, while adhering to the Bible.  

 

God’s new things include now becoming the biblical “In That Day” as a time of spiritual scourging in preparation for great manifestation or indwelling of Christ as He returns in us individually with abundant signs following.  In this fashion, I believe these teachings are superior.  The teachings adhere to the Bible while also adhering to a living God who clearly does new things.

 

Critics might argue that these teachings simply insert a spiritual explanation for things literally expected in the Bible, such as rapture or Christ’s return.  And that would be correct.  Christ returns in us now, not in the rapture or otherwise.  The burden is on us to perform with God, not the reverse.  Jesus never tarries, we do!

 

Revelatory books have recently appeared such as “Conversations with God” by Neale Donald Walsch or “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne.  These authors more or less say the purpose of life is to live in abundant prosperity by unleashing the good within us.

 

The Bible says we must take whatever is good from whatever source, and reject whatever is bad from whatever source.  In this fashion, we must be humble enough to accept truth from even the Devil (this is scriptural,) while also being able to reject lies from the highest religious authorities (this too is scriptural.)

 

Walsch has serious departures from the Bible.  He says God tells him he is on his 600th or so incarnation.  I believe Arnold Murray of Shepherd’s Chapel, Gravette, Arkansas (www.shepherdschapel.com) has the correct biblical explanation with the Three Earth Ages.

 

Perhaps demon spirits have lived in others hundreds of times.  So if we confuse an indwelt demon with our own spirit, we might feel we lived 600 times before.  But Murray says we all lived but once in the First Earth Age, which was the time of Satan’s rebellion.  And Murray says we all live just once again in this, the Second Earth Age.  Therefore now is most everybody’s second and last chance to come to terms with God.  The elect, who appear to have been approved of God because of whatever they did for Him in the First Earth Age (we don’t know why, because of memory loss,) perhaps volunteer for Second Earth Age duty as God’s useful vessels who have limited free will.

 

Walsch also says more or less that Jesus Christ was a “Master” along with Buddha and other saints of the ages.  He says more or less that all religions get a pass.  This is contrary to the Bible, which seems to insist once a person is exposed to certin truths, they are held eternally accountable.  Walsch also says there is no hell, a place Jesus said repeatedly is real and must be avoided at all costs.

 

Walsch does raise interesting topics, including creation, the commandments and communication with God.  His work is worthy of study and gleaning.  No doubt some fair amount of truth is in his work.  Just to understand what is not true in his work (and mine, and yours too!) would greatly expand the knowledge of what is true!

 

None of us is perfect, but in attempting higher goals we must risk error for the overall gain.  NASA’s Apollo moon program was loaded with mistakes, but it generally succeeded above expectations.  I hope my effort, despite imperfections, helps the body of Christ at least a little.

 

Walsch and Byrne say more or less that life is all about you becoming self-realized. Byrne says the “Law of Attraction” will bring good to you if you think good thoughts.  If you want a Mercedes, then think it into your garage!  (This, by the way, happened to me!)  Byrne writes a lot about the power of the mind.  I’m astonished how similar she sounds to the prosperity-faith gospel!  Truths work, regardless the purveyor.

 

The problem is that the New Age Prosperity Doctrine, like the Faith Prosperity Doctrine, at times is a grossly self-centered theology.  The Bible says that the purpose of life is to please our Maker and to hear “Well done thy good and faithful servant.”  We are to be selfless, not greedy narcissists.

 

Often new age, prosperity and even seeker friendly authors have great elements of truth, but tend to omit harder truths.  I probably err on the side of including too many hard truths.  One of my sinful temptations is to unsheathe the sword of truth in a wrong spirit.

 

So as ever, you can choose which path to follow.  Certainly these teachings are not the best path.  But they are not the worst.  They are somewhere above most, and somewhere below the best.  It is up to you, dear reader, to discern.

 

It has been said that great minds discuss ideas while poor minds discuss people.  It is my hope you enjoy this discussion of great ideas and perhaps even the greatest – and therefore the most bitter – truths.  Like the muses sang in Disney’s Hercules, “It may seem impossible, but that’s the Gospel truth!”

 

This Anti-Rapture Book Offers Something More

 

How is this book different than other anti-rapture books?

 

1)  This book has insight into a future wherein multitudes manifest Jesus and thereby bring Father God’s heaven to earth progressively.

 

2)  This book presents truth without too many references to scripture, under the assumption Jesus did so.  Truth proves itself over time anyway.  Let it.

 

3)  This book contains prophetic utterances that show sometimes immaturity of the speaker, me, and  sometimes maturity.  By transparently publishing the mature with the immature, the lesson to learn is that Joel 2:28 and 29 is actually happening.  Will you reject your sons and daughters as me?  Or will you welcome these steps to maturity in God? 

 

4)  This book, if understood, has abundant and cogent revelation.

 

5)  This book, if understood, opens spiritual eyes and ears of readers such that revelation can increase personally in the receptive reader.

 

6)  This book is creative with proverbs, poems, parables, pictograms, parodies and a plethora of new thought on Christian subjects:  All aids to epiphany

 

7)  This book explains Jesus never tarries.  But preachers who say, Jesus tarries, themselves may be tarrying.  This book explains how Jesus comes quickly.

 

8)  This book explains a new beginning to a New Millennium.

 

I have written about the relationship the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and Father God desire with you, dear reader.  And what, pray tell, is the relationship God desires with humans?  It is:

 

God wants every man, woman and child be able to hear, obey and manifest Christ in power, love, sound mind, perfect harmony with all that is good and proper discord with all that is bad.

 

To do that one must die to self, be humble, learn true doctrines, eliminate bad doctrines and be strong.  And as it says in Isaiah 28, the learning part requires line upon line, precept upon precept.  This means one must have intrepid, persevering patience and faith.  And one must not quit at knowing baby truths, but going on to mature and bitter truths.

 

Hopefully, these efforts will accomplish much to enable every man, woman and child possible to manifest the Lord Jesus Christ – not just say the sinner’s prayer, not just know everything “about” Jesus, not just to obtain prosperity keys from the Bible, not just to be nominal believers – but to absolutely know and honor Christ managing all operations successfully in you and other overcomers among this planet’s six or seven billion otherwise selfish, self-destructive and sincerely deceived humans.

 

In the past the Church taught that saying a sinner’s prayer and being saved was sufficient to get a soul into heaven.  Perhaps.  But perhaps God desires more.  Perhaps the population of mankind and the technological power available in this exponential age require that we learn to live together in peace.  Perhaps no better peace is available to mankind on earth than the very real opportunity for billions of people to simultaneously have the mind and direction of Christ. 

 

Imagine billions of people thinking, speaking and doing what God wants them individually to do!  Would that not, in fact, be a new heaven on earth?  Is this God’s spiritual cube-symmetry mentioned in Revelation?

 

That is why this work is important.  Heretofore the emphasis by the Church has been salvation, this, that and the other thing.  Now we can include salvation, this, that and the other things (as long as they are true doctrines of God) while also enabling the very Spirit of God to live in harmony with the spirits of humans, enabling Divine direction, Divine obedience and Divine accord amongst all so inclined who are alive.

 

This will create great peace among the peaceful and great strife among the conflicted, which most likely is Revelation’s new heaven on earth.  There will be a universal brotherhood of veracity creating wonderful peace amongst themselves in their spiritual neighborhoods.  Then concurrently of course, outside those spiritual gates will still be the hellacious howls of dogs, sorcerers, whoremongers, murderers, idolaters and those who love to hear or make lies. 

 

These sad souls will continue their rapid self-destruction, as the Bible’s last page insists.  But we in whom Christ can be, we will have peace.  Even in tribulation, we will have peace.  We can own it.

Wherein We Must Either Laugh, Cry or Change

1)      Praying for Uncorrected Revival vs. Repenting of Wrong Doctrine

 

John the Baptist said to repent.  Jesus said to repent.  And their sharpest words were directed against the religious leaders of the day.  But the religious leaders of today say that they, themselves, have nothing much to repent about.   Instead they call for revival for an unrepentant, uncorrected Church.  American preachers now find revival chiefly in Third World countries who are hearing the mega ministry spiel for the first time.  But in America, faith-movement leaders are finding very little new manna.  In the modern nations, who have heard the faith message for many years, revival waits.  Like Mark Twain’s Huckleberry Finn we “got to decide, forever, betwixt two things.”  The Church either must massively repent regarding wrong doctrine or pray giddily for heavenly affirmation for an uncorrected Church’s revival.  The Church tells us it is righteous, blessed and needing only our money.  To believe anything else is, well, to be wrong, damnably so.  But perhaps we can help this Church self-enslaved to wrong doctrine escape its shackles of deception.  Perhaps we can say, with irony as did Huck when he went against his religious upbringing and helped his friend Jim escape slavery, “All right, then, I’ll go to hell.”

 

2)      Teach How to Hear God vs. Teaching Anything Else

 

The Church teaches many things, but it rarely teaches the disciplines to hear God’s rhema instant-now voice.  If platitudes were sufficient for tomorrow’s emergency, Confucius or Lao Tzu or preacher Tom, Dick or Harry would be fine.  But some of us have a sneaking suspicion that Father God Almighty just might be able to tell us individually what we really need to do better than, well, the placebo pandering, opinions or promptings of anybody else.  This ability to hear God’s rhema voice, by the way, trumps rule-based activity, which is why Jesus so often seemingly violated His own Father’s laws.  If the letter of the law (any law, even the law of tithing) kills, it is the Spirit of God (for example, prompting one person to give to another, rather than tithing into the ministry bucket) which gives life!

3)      Escape by Rapture vs. Survive Overflowing Scourge

 

One thing a person can say with certainty about the rapture is that we haven’t seen anybody raptured yet.  A less certain observation is that whereas rapture books have sold in the millions, no good answer is available to the question that since rapture authors believe themselves soon gone, what need have they of rapture profits?  Nevertheless, rapture makes for delightful mental escape.  However rapture theology fails to prepare its believers for the Lord’s fierce and overflowing scourge which the prophets of the Bible so emphatically warned about.  This makes believing in fly away fallacies a rather unsafe bet.

 

4)      Irresponsible Eternal Security vs. Free Will Responsibility

 

Whereas a new citizen of the United States of America renounces his former citizenship and promises to obey the laws of the land, our dear Church of Eternal Security believes we can at once become citizens of God’s kingdom, but not be truly concerned with obeying our King’s laws; since we somehow become “eternally secure.”  However, if a naturalized citizen of America would follow that same advice and rob a bank, he most likely would find himself in a federal prison and unhappily “secured” for what may seem like “eternity.”  Of course, the Eternally Secure Church believes God’s gift of free will responsibility magically disappears after a salvation prayer.  Why, then, doesn’t the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service also cover its new citizens with such wonderful absolution?  If they did, perhaps we citizens would become foreigners just for the opportunity to become new citizens of America, free from the recompense of high crime! 

 

5)      Tarry in Me Baby vs. One In Whom He May Be

 

“Should JEEE-ZUS tarry!” so many preachers like to say.  But one might ask, how can they be so bold as to imply our Lord is late for their party?  Isn’t it the reverse?  Doesn’t Jesus want to manifest himself in every man, woman and child?  Or is He who they believe will fix everything instantly, late with the instant fix?  Yet the last page of the Bible tell us three times:  “Behold, I come quickly” (to manifest Myself in all who have prepared themselves by shunning unjustness and filthiness and paying the high price to be righteous and holy.)  Are we baby theologians in need of an instant-fix God who will appear independent from us to right all wrongs; or are we mature believers instructed to be prepared, ready and watch for Christ to manifest Himself in ourselves and others and rejoice in that day?  So, we can choose to be either a “Tarry in me baby” or “One in whom He may be!” 

 

 

6)      Worshiping Worldly Profits vs. Honoring Rebuking Prophets

 

The five-fold ministry includes prophets, but rare is the church with a prophet operating in Biblical fullness.  More common is the church with profits to grow buildings, grow staff, grow television ministry and grow sometimes huge convention meetings.  If a living prophet is heralded, is it one who rebukes as did Moses?  Is it is one who rebukes as did Jeremiah?  Is it one who rebukes as did John, Jesus and even Paul?  Or do we find prophets who prophesy rainbow stew for me and you?  Sadly, we find the latter and not the former.  No church serves two masters, and the master of the world is often the master of the church.  And the master of the world will not be rebuked by a prophet.  Perhaps this is why so few churches want correction, but so many revival; so few a prophet, so many entertainment; so few steak, so many milk. 

 

7)      Tithing Rule vs. Jesus’ Three Red-Letter Tithing Denouncements

 

Many ministers excitedly herald Malachi 3:10 and sing the virtues of rule-based tithing.  However, few pastors just as excitedly herald the three red letter denouncements from Jesus of tithers who displeased God.  Jesus taught that when you hear from God, there are no rules.  He and His disciples didn’t wash before eating corn, He healed on the Sabbath, He wasn’t ordained by man and He taught rule-based tithing was not necessarily pleasing to our Father!  Perhaps the reason people cannot hear Jesus’ rhema word on how much to give to whomever is because so many ministers have exalted their teaching above that of God’s Son.  Martin Luther said, “To go against conscience is neither right nor safe.”  Satan can indeed tempt a person to tithe wrongly.  Jesus said so.  But modern ministries refuse to line up with Jesus and get tithing right.  They are guilty of a kind of subornation of sin, getting others to do something in a way that displeases God.  Worse yet, prosperity preachers add self-service to the mix by teaching a seed harvest doxie that goes like this:  Give to get!  Amplified it is:  Give directly to my non-profit organization which channels wealth directly to me, and believe God will nebulously channel wealth directly back to you by some less direct, less selfish, less conniving, more nebulous way.

 

8)      What Would Jesus Do (WWJD) vs. Obeying Jesus’ Rhema Voice

 

Youth ministries have embraced the “What Would Jesus Do” doctrine and encouraged sales of jewelry, clothes, books and anything marked “WWJD.”  However if WWJD where tried by any real organization it would fail.  For example, what if every person in the US military acted upon the thought, “What Would President Do?” Chaos would follow!  The US military must, in the end, do what our President, as Commander in Chief, says.  Jesus said, “Blessed are they who hear my (rhema) word, and obey.”  Granted, at first we may not hear from God well, and must settle for doing what we think He wants.  The trick is to rapidly advance to hearing directly from God.   Jesus is very much alive, contrary to what the WWJD doctrine implies, and He will tell us precisely what to do, if only we believe and pay the price of righteousness to hear!

 

9)      The “About” Factor vs. Enough “About” Already, for Christ’s Sake!

 

Ministries which forever teach “about” Jesus and never involve themselves with manifesting Jesus (including love, healing, tongues, prophesy, gifts of the spirit, miracles, etc.) are like an F-15 flight school that forever teaches “about” the fighter jet but never expects anyone to be its pilot.  Granted, an F-15 Eagle is an extremely complicated machine.  Some could choose to blab “about” it for eternity.  Likewise, an errant minister may blab on “about” Jesus eternally but never manifest much of His Spirit.  God help the ministries trapped in such rotten and despicable doctrine.  Such “about” preachers can be detected by the fact that their sermons are almost always boring.  And finally, these curious “about” preachers have nothing of the spirit of Chuck Yeager, or an eagle, or our Lord, or anyone you must ever hope to be.

 

10)  Spirits?  What Spirits?  vs. Understanding God’s Spirit Realm

 

God is a Spirit.  God breathed His Spirit into us.  Jesus promised the Holy Spirit would teach us all things.  But most preachers avoid teaching the dynamics of God’s spirit realm.  So the world turns to New Age because the Church cannot explain this age.  The world turns to fortune tellers because the Church turns away prophets.  Christians are full of evil spirits because the Church says it cannot happen.  Television preachers are proud of their ranting spirits, their money-extracting spirits and especially their uncorrectable spirits.  God created a kingdom of spirits, but the modern church hides from the knowledge of it.  The Church believes it has God’s truth in the form of the word, usually only the logos and seldom the rhema.  God believes His Church must have His Spirit, as evidenced by signs which the Church tends to reject.  The Church must stop its hide-from-spirits-but-seek-truth game. God says you cannot have His Truth without His Spirit.  The Church which settles for one, has neither.

 

11)  Unhappy Heresy Hunters vs. Happy Hear-and-See Campers

 

Unhappy heresy hunters want to kill the doctrine of those who say that a strictly literal interpretation of God’s word is wrong.  Jesus was crucified by unhappy heresy hunters.  Jesus did not interpret scripture literally.  Woe to any person similarly filled with God’s Spirit, who steps outside their literal word mind-prison, and comes under their gun sights.  For unhappy heresy hunters have rejected the Holy Spirit, and are spiritually blind.  And it upsets them to discover others who see spiritually and help others to also see spiritually.  So heresy hunters live to kill the two witnesses of life on earth:  God in man and man in God.  But true seekers can find happiness in God.

 

12)  Doing Dispensational Dogma vs. Making the Crooked Paths Straight

 

If a gay midget who was missing a leg, an ear and half his private parts was elected President of the United States, somewhere a dispensational preacher would say, “This too is in the Bible!”  For about a hundred years end-times eschatologists have distorted history, blasphemed His story and encouraged histrionics regarding their know-it-all theories about the appearance of Mr. Antichrist, the mark of the beast, the avoidance of tribulation and the fly away, false salvation promise of rapture.  But what can be expected from such misguided teachers who take the Bible literally?  They literally interpret it like a psychological ink blot.  Instead of the Holy Spirit teaching them all things, God lets them provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces.  And so, the mad dispensational teachers ignore John the Baptist’s admonition to do the hard and necessary work of  tearing down mountains (of a soul’s lies), filling in the valleys (of a heart’s missing good spirits) and making the crooked paths (of a mind’s wrong doctrine) straight.  But if the dispensationalists’ literal interpretation of the Bible is correct, then let us seek first a good, used bulldozer.

 

13)  Weeping in Ramah vs. Laughing in Rehma

 

The truth that some Christian ministries are guilty of preaching a baby Gospel is proven by how they celebrate Jesus’ birth.  The season of Christmas is often simply taught as a pageant of nativity.  However, a cursory review of Luke’s telling of the story reveals that Father God arranged for eight members of Jesus’ family and friends who were extraordinarily spirit-filled, prophetically spirit-speaking, spirit-led or spirit-obedient.  This spirit-led living enabled them to avoid the kill zone of infanticide.  This message is lost on ministries who poorly prepare their sheep to similarly avoid modern kill zones.  So, Christmases come and go without families being filled with the Holy Spirit, as this part of the story is ignored.  And then for some families who subsequently experience tragedies that could have been avoided by hearing from God’s Spirit, instead of being able to laugh in rhema, they weep in Ramah.  For this the Church tells them to tithe?  Christmas should be merrier.

 

14)  Beam Me Up, Scotty! vs. Give God-In-You a Chance

 

The word “rapture” is found in the Bible precisely as often as the phrase “Separation of Church and State” is found in the United States Constitution, Bill of Rights or Declaration of Independence.  However, the American Civil Liberties Union has no problem making their anti-god agenda succeed, somehow.  Likewise rapture preachers, somehow.  We have been sold a pack of lies because neither America’s founding documents nor the Bible respectively bars God from America’s public arena nor promises the world a fly-away escape from tomorrow.  Nevertheless, truth will prevail in these matters.  And the truth of God’s end-times plan is that He really must dwell in us, or else!  Stated roughly (but actually quite accurately), the saints go marching in God while the butt-heads get themselves eliminated.  For God so loves the world, that in that day of judgment which now is, He will manifest Himself in us to perform His word.  This is both our hope and God’s plan for tomorrow.

 

15)  Getting Abomination of Desolation Dollar$ vs. Building Holy Abodes

 

The dispensational teachers’ dream is for a Third Temple to be built in Jerusalem which will some day have a Mr. Antichrist appear with a pig which he sacrifices on an altar, thereby causing all dispensational book sales to soar to astronomic levels.  However, a spiritual reading of the matter reveals that we are Christ’s third temple, and we choose to be either antichrist-like or Christ-like.  And in choosing to put either our own piggish selves on the throne, or Christ; we can cause either our own abomination of desolation to keep God forever banished from our soul, or we can work with repentance and truth to get and keep God dwelling in us and we in Him.  God’s dream in these latter days is, well, the latter.

 

16)  Mining for Armageddon Million$ vs. Death to Almighty Self

 

Ooh, ooh!  Is this war or the next one the biggie of the Bible?  Should we subscribe to the Jerusalem Post or support the preacher who does?  When we buy a book or watch a movie on the Battle of Armageddon, should our fear of the future be small, medium or super-size?  Should our attention be diverted away from dethroning self, which is the Armageddon for most every individual and family, or with imagining the mother of all wars?   Saddam Hussein was wrong when he prophesied about the First Gulf War being such a mother, but why do we still support teachers who divert attention from the battle of self (which enables Christ-likeness) to some future mother of all wars (which promulgates fear.)  Answer:  The death-to-self Gospel doesn’t allow much self-promotion, self-exaltation or self-aggrandizement; but fear-mongering does.

 

17)  Betting Bad News Brings Big Buck$ vs. Empowering to Overcome

 

EXTRA!  EXTRA!  Read all about it!  Bad news SELLS dispensational books, tapes, conventions and television shows!  What a surprise!  There is bad news!  Wow!!!  And so go the dispensational programs under the banner of Christ.  At the end of most breathless presentations of their bad news gospel, is their fear-of-the-future-without-dispensational-insight altar call.  “UNHOLY BAD NEWS, Robin!” says Batman, “Where is Superman when you need him?”  Comics and bad news aside, real shepherds must teach their sheep to be disciplined and hardened overcomers, who can acutely hear and obey God’s rhema voice, so that they are equal to any emergency.

 

 

18)  Mining Omega Codes for Million$ vs. Who Is the Christ?

 

The Bible certainly contains mysterious codes.  Maybe it has Adolf Hitler’s name, or Charlton Heston’s.  Maybe it has your name, my name and sister Sue’s.  Does any of this help us to be more like Jesus?  Let us hold ministries accountable for where they put the attention of their followers.  Do the shepherds fixate on factoids?  Do the shepherds fixate on selling their factoids?  How do these factoids help their sheep get in the right fold?  Having bought and read yet another Christian book of amazing facts, real and imagined, can you hear, obey and expand God’s kingdom better than before money went from your wallet to the author’s?  Is it mere knowledge, or spiritual knowledge; is it mere worshiping in truth, or worshiping in spirit and truth; is it mere logos facts or partnership with a living Holy Spirit that helps Christ in us be?  Then let all taught of the Lord with eyes to see, ears to hear and hearts to obey, witness to the world who is the Christ.  Let all who can, witness who is the Christ.  Let all who can, see who is the Christ.  Let all who can, be who is the Christ.  From the east to the west, let Christ, then, return in a cloud of His sanctified vessels, at His sudden time, in His awesome power, with His conquering love and His perfectly sound mind.

 

 

19)  Mining Believers for Billion$ vs. Lessons Freely Received and Given

20)  We Don’t Need Maturity vs. Be Ye Spiritually Mature, and Live

 

Current popular Church teaching discourages the very mandate God requires in this day, which is to die to self at ever increasing levels, manifest God at ever increasing levels and expand God’s kingdom at ever increasing levels.  Why is this so?  Because:  Common Christian doctrines about the future, which typically includes the rapture, the imminent second coming as a spectacular singularity and eternal security, are delusional.  Why die to self, if a “Beam-Me-Up-Scotty-God” is going to get us out of our life’s battle zones?  But when a hard thing comes to the unprepared (and, by the way, unraptured) believer, that believer is unable to conquer the situation if he can’t hear and obey God’s rhema voice.  Ditto for eternal security believers.  Why try the rugged road of righteousness, when a simple sinner’s prayer and the belief that “Jesus did it all” is so much easier?  But when a hard thing comes to the (supposed) eternal security believer who doesn’t know God’s voice, he is slaughtered by the enemy.  Same goes for believers of the Imminent-Return-of-Mr.-Fix-It-All-Jesus.  Why learn the disciplines to hear and obey Jesus’ rhema voice, when He “soon and very soon” will set foot on the Mount of Olives and make everything so blessedly perfect?  So when most every opportunity to manifest Christ fails to happen in the unsanctified life of a baby-doctrine-taught Christian, the purposes of heaven are massively frustrated.  And it is so sad.  Because today’s Church clings tenaciously to its wrong doctrines, which result in multitudes dying in ignorance and failure because they learned little more from the Church than unrighteous love mush.  When God’s small quiet voice prompts believers to leave off unjustness and filthiness, and acquire righteousness and holiness; likely as not that believer’s preacher on Sunday will repeat rapture, eternal security and imminent return teachings, which is today’s lazy, hazy, crazy, give-up-gospel message saying:  Why try?

 

 

21)  No Pride of Life Here! vs. Prospering in Circumcised Humility

 

To walk in God’s abundant, overflowing prosperity without fierce warfare against pride-of-life puts us in danger of becoming world-class hypocrites.  Knowledge makes us prideful.  Success makes us prideful.  Money makes us prideful.  Luxury cars make us prideful.  Executive jet travel can really make us prideful.  Exclusive, isolated-from-the-plebian mega-ministry living absolutely can make us prideful.  But it apparently doesn’t affect any mega-ministers of this age, according to their incessant lifestyle boasting.  And when confronted, they protesteth too much.  The result:  Mega-ministry followers don’t fight pride-of-life as they themselves prosper.  Just count the jaywalking masses as they leave the next ministry conference event.  Watch them walk past the downtown needy.  Watch them butt in line at the airport, with no decent concern for others already in line.  Pride of life puts leaders and followers above the laws of man and God every time.  And it is a shame.  It hadn’t ought to be happening, but it is.  The cut of our covenant needs be hidden, lest we be prideful and our boasting interfere with God’s work.

 

22)  Give One to Another vs. Give Tithes and Offerings to Ministries

 

The ministries of Jesus and John are summarized quite compactly in the Gospels.  Jesus said His ministry boils down to loving God and loving your neighbor.  Then He modeled that by giving His life as a demonstration of that agape love.  However, the taught-of-mega-ministry sheep often focus on tithing, prosperity, rapture, end-times dispensation doctrine and anything but giving one to another.  John’s ministry was summarized by the question, What should we do?  John said give your extra coat to another.  Then he said the second thing is as the first, but with food.  The emphasis is on giving one to another.  This agape love of one giving to another is God’s definition of heaven on earth.  But the mega-ministers’ message of tithe-to-ministry-and-prosper-until-rapture too often absolves devotees of their agape duty to give one to another.  The ministries whose top-of-mind-awareness message is “tithe-and-reap-blessings,” well… their force is not right.  Though their ministry coffers are full, and though ministries themselves often give to each other’s ministries, the message the sheep learn from mega-ministers is to first give to the ministry, then all will be well.  These ministry sheep have been absolved from ever giving anything to anybody, person to person.  Such sheep make hell, not heaven on earth.  Until the mega-ministries emphasize giving (love, gifts, respect, honor, time) one to another trumps giving (love, gifts, respect, honor, time) to ministries, their Gospel remains tragically skewed, and God’s kingdom coming to earth tragically delayed, and those supposedly taught-of-the-Lord will remain tragically unable to manifest their Lord’s Behold-I-Come-Quickly return.  This is the latter day abomination of desolation: God unable to indwell in abodes of wrong doctrine and deceived spirits.

 

 

 

23)  Madness, Lunacy and Mojo vs. Feeding Sheep

 

Television Christian ministers sometimes present inane, bellicose banalities pretending to be profundities of the highest order: You’re NOT getting it, they say. Other ministers sometimes give manic, emotional diatribes spewed out with machine-gun furor, along with endless scripture quotes of bounce-back-and-forth-scripture-chasing confusion and misdirection of thought.  Other ministers employ a staccato of claptrap clichés, background musical crescendos and witchcraft-controlling rapid fire directives:  Turn to your neighbor, say this, do that, turn to a Bible verse, turn to another, go back to the first, consider this verse but don’t turn to it, rub your belly, pat your head, finish my sentence, Simon says don’t think!  This allows the Lords of Lunacy to hypnotize their sheep to say B-A-A-A-A-A, and A-A-A-A-A-MEN and T-I-I-I-I-I-I-THE and do everything disconnected from God’s Spirit to convince themselves of their happiness without ever truly being fed Christ or being ever able to manifest Him.  The sheep are not being fed Christ, they don’t act Christ-like but they do continue to have a craven desire to get “filled” again at the next expensive show.  Deca-millionaire ministers regularly extract from followers, some in poverty, to give their ministry ten percent of their income and buy their next “life-changing” book or other must have products, conventions or cruises!  It is beyond scandalous.  Christ-fed sheep are wise, not suckers; quickened, not dead-looking; independent, not grotesquely obsequious.  Sheep that are fed Christ are healthy.  Sheep that are fed ego and deception look like some of the misshapen, beguiled troops who now attend ministry meetings.   Such conference shepherds teach how to be obnoxious to the Lord and useless to man.  This is the fruit of some modern ministries:  Abodes of prideful desolation teaching more abodes to be proudly desolate, unable to please or manifest Christ, but nonetheless manically thrilled with ministry witchcraft mojo deception.  Turn to somebody and say He’s in the house.  This is Revelation’s last page warning against whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

 

24)  Manifesting Our Devilishly-Deceived Selves vs. Manifesting Christ

 

Amazingly, the Bible’s main message seems to have been lost in centuries of clutter.  The message is that Christ must come and manifest Himself in us now.  With the Holy Spirit He can indwell in us, if – and it is a big if – we have our heads screwed on straight, meaning we have Father God’s doctrine (i.e. hard truth) and its discipline, which disallows every form of pride, vanity and self-exaltation.  This despite what television preachers blithely witness to the contrary.  All would be fine except the horrific fact that conventional Christian religion is seemingly opposed to that singular good thing from ever happening in its body.  Many of conventional Christianity’s habits, traditions, beliefs and doctrines are perversely opposed in everlasting enmity to the ultimate realization of Christ actually indwelling in us.  All of the Bible’s transcendent truths, of Christ transitioning Himself into our selves, as seen in John’s chapters 14 through 17, or Isaiah’s call-outs to this high way, or the Bible’s first page command to have dominion over the spirit realm, or the Bible’s last page’s triple iteration that Jesus comes quickly have been lost to truth.  It is well understood that Christ was filled with the Holy Spirit without limit, but the Church has taught to receive Christ without His Spirit.  Even those who opt to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, often stay content at an extremely miniscule portion of spirit-led life.  Out of this hellish stupor believers in Christ must rise up and demand to receive full baptism of the Holy Spirit and full baptism of the fire of sin-revealing and sin-overcoming tribulation until we in humility and obedience hear, obey and manifest Christ at levels all creation groans in anticipation to see the revealing thereof.  In other words, we must be in whom comes quickly our God.  When we read, “Behold, I come quickly,” we must agree with Jesus that in our lives:   Yes, He certainly came and was, He certainly comes and is and He certainly will come and be in us.  Who we are must be who Christ is.  Who Christ is must be who we are.  He is the great I am.  And He calls to us and says: Now, with Me be.  Behold, I come.  Are you ready?  Behold, I come:  I in you, you in Me.  Behold, then, the Body of Christ rise and shine!

 

 

25)  Unrighteous Capitulation vs. the Sword of Truth and Spirit

 

Country western singer Waylon Jennings wrote, “Lord, it’s the same old tune, fiddle and guitar.  Where do we take it from here?...It’s been the same way for years.  We need a change.”  Many television preachers teach rule-based tithing, rapture, eternal security, dispensational dogma, the imminent return of Just-Fix-Everything-Instantly-Jesus (their own miscreant selves excluded, of course!) and that the only prophet is an entertaining one.  Such prophets could not get even a dog that wet the carpet to show remorse.  Yet the Church itself is neither housebroken nor repentant enough for God to indwell at sufficient levels.  In truth, there is no rapture, no eternal security and Jesus comes quickly in the prepared-for-Him-inside now.  Giving must be rhema-based not percentage rule-based.  The Church’s end-times dispensational doctrine is a colossally wrong misdirection and poorly prepares the Church, much less the world, for tomorrow’s troubles.  Tribulations come with opportunity to be sanctified because hard circumstances penetrate a soul’s stupor.  Only when the Church teaches the disciplines required to worship God in spirit and truth and then hear and obey Christ’s rhema voice will the Church be equal to tomorrow’s emergencies, opportunities and potential revivals.  TV preachers rake in millions of dollars in sales by pandering fear, greed and giddiness to sheep worldwide.  This, despite occasional rebel critics who, to paraphrase Jennings, ask, “Are you sure Christ done it this way?”  Truly, the Church has missed it by a mile.  Ministries will have to massively repent of wickedly hanging on to wrong doctrines, which make them unable to manifest Christ themselves, and for their brazen audacity in hawking their worldly antichrist opinions like voracious whores.  Why should God’s people buy Satan’s doctrines from the Church?  Church leaders, wash the inside of the cup.  Church leaders, die to self.  Church leaders, stop extracting dollars unrighteously.  Church leaders, stop flailing at the world with a scabbard of puerile doctrines, and pick up Christ’s two-edged sword of spirit and truth.  And use that sword against your wrong beliefs and your wrong spirits.  And then publicly repent of your misdeeds of proclaiming truth that was not truth and being of a spirit that was not of God.  The world will see you become more and more as God’s very truth and even as God’s very spirit.  And then, verily verily the Lord God Almighty says unto you, you will see true revival.

Back in 1957 there were four prophets to the car industry: Bob, Tom, Dick and Harry.  Tom, Dick and Harry spoke breathlessly and agitatedly as follows:

 

In the next 50 years cars will be…

Awesome, cutting edge, significant, soaked in luxury, at a new level, in sync with the environment, shaking the old order, high technology, dread champions of mileage, taken to new levels of power, called to a higher transport and raised to higher emissions purity.  And the industry leaders will be shaken to the core, there will be a new vision of how to navigate, cars will change like butterflies, the world will have incredible expectation of automobiles, people in the auto industry will find new ways to prosper, there will be a change of rhythm of manufacturing and it will be tumultuous but equations will equal.

 

People were really impressed with Tom, Dick and Harry.  They paid them glorious accolades because what they said was nebulous and pleasing to everyone.

 

However, Bob spoke with authority as follows:

 

In the next 50 years carmakers must…

Stop using drum brakes on all wheels............ And use discs with antilock brake systems.

Stop using iron engine heads & blocks.......... And use aluminum low-emission engines.

Stop using two valves per cylinder................ And use four.

Stop using carburetors................................... And use fuel stratified injection.

Stop using regular leaded gas........................ And use premium unleaded gas.

Stop using 14” metal wheels.......................... And use 19” aluminum.

Stop using nylon bias tires............................. And use radial.

Stop using steel frames & bodies................... And use aluminum.

Stop using generators..................................... And use alternators.

Stop using tube radios................................... And use navigation/CD/satellite radios.

Stop using just one radio speaker.................. And use twelve entertainment speakers.

Stop using metal dashboards......................... And use soft materials and air bags.

Stop using solid rear axles............................. And use all wheel independent suspension.

Stop using two speed transmissions.............. And use six.

Stop using two-wheel drive........................... And use four.

 

But people hated listening to Bob.  No one wanted to hear him or read his words.  He was right, but it was not music to anyone’s itching ears since it involved hard, actual change.

 

In 2007 a fellow by the name of Robert Winkler Burke said the modern media church which broadcasts its message through the United States and by satellite around the world must…

 

Stop preaching the lie of the rapture.............. And preach God’s overwhelming scourge.

Stop waiting for God to manifest Himself.... And preach we must manifest God Himself.

Stop preaching dispensational fear................ And preach overcoming peace.

Stop dreading a governmental mark of 666.. And preach it is a mark of spirit, soul, body.

Stop preaching in outrageously evil spirits.... And worship God in spirit and truth.

Stop modeling greed and self-interest........... And be non-profit leaders of non-profits.

Stop insisting God’s rules are inviolate......... And preach God delights in breaking rules.

Stop extorting and demanding tithes............ And preach Jesus criticized tithing people.

Stop preaching eternal security...................... And preach only God guarantees absolution.

Stop preaching foreign affairs intrigue.......... And preach personal overcoming of evil.

Stop purchasing costly jets with donations... And travel with commoners and be humble.

Stop preaching fear of a Euro-antichrist........ And be sure not to be of any ungodly spirit.

Stop pandering to spirits of envy of success. And preach fear of God and His scourging.

Stop selling each other’s evil books............... And promote listening to the spoken Bible.

Stop idolizing easy-on-the-ears “prophets”... And allow rebuking prophets to speak truth.

Stop praying for an uncorrected revival........ And repent of being unworthy of revival.

Stop preaching six-day creationism............... And admit the earth is as old as science says.

Stop cursing who comes in God’s nature...... And bless those who come in God’s nature.

Stop fighting the ACLU’s efforts................. And fight the Church’s efforts to deny God.

Stop fighting the full baptism of the Spirit.... And encourage full baptism of the Spirit.

Stop fighting the full baptism of the Fire...... And encourage full baptism of the Fire.

Stop evil controlling techniques in crowds.... And repent massively of using evil control.

Stop preaching only “about” Jesus................ And manifest His essence so others learn.

Is it Truth or Truth and Spirit?

 

Once upon a time a farmer had 100 sheep on his farm.  They had eaten the grass on his north acreage down to the dirt so he needed them to move to fresh grass to the south. 

 

But this farmer’s sheep were stubborn and hard to move.  So the farmer asked Mr. Dog to speak to them.  But Mr. Dog had a defeated spirit.

 

“Yip, yip, you sheep,” said Mr. Dog in a very weak voice.  “Oh, bark, bark and growl, growl, move to the south acreage.  It will be easier, I say.  Everything easier.”

 

But the sheep did not respond to the weak spirit of Mr. Dog.  They said to the dog, “If you do not care what spirit you are of, we do not care what you say.”

 

Next the farmer tried Mr. Owl.  But Mr. Owl was so very much love with his own wisdom that he had a supercilious spirit.

 

“Be enraptured to the south,” said Mr. Owl in an annoyingly patronizing voice.  “I am holding a seminar on south pasture enrapture enablement tonight under the big oak.” 

 

But the sheep did not respond to the condescending spirit of Mr. Owl.  They said, “Silly animal!  If you do not care what spirit you are of, we do not care what you say.”

 

Next the farmer tried Mr. Chicken.  But Mr. Chicken was preoccupied with prosperity.

 

“Pluck, pluck, I’ll make a buck!  GO SOUTH, hear my mouth!  Pluck, pluck, I’ll make a buck!  I’ll get pay, if you do what I say!” screeched Mr. Chicken.

 

But the sheep did not respond to the greedy spirit of Mr. Chicken.  They said, “Silly animal!  If you do not care what spirit you are of, we do not care what you say.”

 

Next the farmer tried Mr. Goose.  But Mr. Goose was in love with the sound of his voice.

 

“Honk!  Honk!  Hearken to my heralding!  I am loud!  I am great!  Honk, honk, honk, honk, honk, honk!  Oh yes, move south.  And HONK, HONK, HONK, HONK!”

 

But the sheep did not respond to the narcissistic spirit of Mr. Goose.  They said, “Silly animal!  If you do not care what spirit you are of, we do not care what you say.”

 

Next the farmer tried Mr. Cow.  Mr. Cow had a low opinion of himself.

 

“Before I am butchered, eaten and forgotten – move south, you sheep!  ” said Mr. Cow.

 

The sheep moved south immediately.  They said, “Mr. Cow, you have true spirit!”

 

And the farmer kept the cow and his sheep, but he shot the dog, owl, chicken and goose.

Is it Someday, Now or Not?

Every year a circus called The Greatest Thing visited two towns located on opposite banks of a large river.  The towns were called Someday and Now.

 

When the circus set up its tents on the outskirts of Someday, it made all things ready for its performing lions, dancing elephants, high wire acrobats, amazing magicians and funny clowns.

 

But a strange thing always happened to the circus at Someday.  The people of that town, who considered themselves superior to the people across river, had peculiar notions about circus entertainment.  The people of Someday would buy circus tickets, the circus programs (which they liked to memorize,) souvenirs and even peanuts, popcorn and candy.  But whenever the circus began, the people of Someday went straight home!

 

The reverse happened at the town of Now.  When the circus crossed the river and set up tents there, each circus member was full of delight.  Because the circus, having made good money from Someday, offered everything free to the people of Now.  So every able person from Now attended The Greatest Thing.

 

And here is what Now did when it attended The Greatest Thing:  A dozen Now men would be invited into the ring to wrestle with the clowns, which made everyone roar in laughter.  The town’s choir would sing songs to the circus band, sometimes making the band members cry.  Children brought their kittens to receive lessons from the lion tamer.  And whoever happened to be mayor of Now always let himself (or herself, as it happened on occasion,) be ridiculed by the circus clowns. 

 

Plus the circus elephants made a triumphant arch with their trunks for the high school prom king and queen to make a celebrated entrance.  And a pachyderm would on occasion spray the couple with water, which made everyone laugh.

 

Thus it happened that it was impossible to tell who had more jolly good fun – the people of Now or the circus!  Everyone seemed to have such care one for another.

 

Eventually the circus employees decided it was too small a thing for them to give free tickets to the delightful people of Now.  They decided to contribute to a fund to support Now veterans and their families in need.  And the people of Now would not be out done in this kind of thing.  So they set up two retirement funds for the circus, one for humans and another for animals.

 

But the town across the river did not understand the people of Now.  Someday’s people were jealous of all the fun and commotion they could hear across the river that separated them.  They thought, “Don’t those repulsive Nowians know how to properly enjoy a circus?”  So they got a court injunction to stop the circus from appearing in Now, on the basis of unfair trade practices.

 

In frustration, the circus never came back to either town.

 

But the spirit of The Greatest Thing had so infused itself in the good people of Now, that they decided to do something.  With permission from the circus, they opened an amusement park named The Second Greatest Thing and invited people throughout the state to attend.  It became a huge success.

 

Eventually Now’s amusement park was so popular, it became a global destination resort with attendance of over 10 million people per year.  Most of the people in Now became rich.

 

And the people of Someday?  Most of them remained quite poor.  So they decided to do something.  With permission from the circus, they opened a museum, a publishing house, a college, a television station and internet websites – all dedicated to heralding The Greatest Thing… they completely misunderstood.

 

It turns out this situation was of particular interest to a certain town down the river from Someday, whose name was Not.  And the people of Not thought they completely understood what the people of Someday misunderstood about the circus called The Greatest Thing.

 

So the people of Not decided to do something.  With permission from the circus, they opened a museum, a publishing house, a college, a television station and internet websites – all dedicated to heralding the reasons why the people of Someday completely misunderstood The Greatest Thing.

 

But the Nots were so consumed with the certainty of their reasons why the Somedays were wrong, their zeal left them no time to ever actually attend the circus called The Greatest Thing or Now’s amusement park called The Second Greatest Thing.  In fact, the people of Not spent most of their energies in proving wrong the people of Someday.

 

Interestingly, the when children of Someday grew up, they usually moved either to Not or Now.  And when the children of Not grew up, they usually moved either to Someday or Now.  But when the children of Now grew up, they almost always stayed  close to their families somewhere in Now.  Because to live in Now was to live within The Second Greatest Thing, which they believed was as close as they could be to The Greatest Thing.

Once upon a time a very great robot traveled in a spaceship from galaxy to galaxy.  One day he noticed a large area of cosmic dust.  Having learned much in his travels, he assembled a planet out of the dust.  Then out of the dust on the planet he made copies of robots much like himself.

 

He told the robots to call him their Maker.  Further, he made an instruction book for them called the Manual.  Then he told them to take care of each other and the planet.   He said that he would be leaving and much later return again.  Then he left.

 

Some of the robots read the Manual, most did not bother.  And in time, the robots misbehaved to the point that life on the planet became very bad.   They were also polluting their planet.

 

Finally things got so troublesome the robots became alarmed.  They asked, “What will become of us?”

 

Two prophetic robots emerged who each said, “I know the future based on the Manual.”  But each of them had a different vision.

 

The first robot said, “Our Maker will return and eliminate every bad thing, but reward the rest of us with spaceship rides to other galaxies!”

 

This played well to the robots, since all believed themselves to be in the group “rest of us” and none believed themselves in the group “every bad thing.”

 

But the second prophet said, “Our Maker built in each of us two-way radios to communicate with him instantaneously.  And there is a place in each of us for his actual essence.  If we really understand the Manual and talk with our Maker, he will finish the work he began in us.  And we can make this planet good.  The Maker is waiting for us to begin.  We should not wait for the Maker to come to us!”

 

This played very poorly to most of the robots, who in truth had become lazy.  So by majority vote the robots agreed to make the first robot prophet their leader.  They also voted to turn off the second prophet, which they immediately did despite his protests.

 

But another robot said, “Though we have shut off the second prophet, if he was right another will surely come as he did with the same message about us all having a two-way radio to our Maker who wants to update our corrupted operating systems.”

 

Another robot replied, “Yes, but this kind of message is too hard on us.  We like the first prophet because he says we are fine enough.  But who made the mess we are in?  And how is it going to get better while we wait and do nothing until the Maker arrives?

 

Said another, “Perhaps we are afraid to use our two-way radios because we don’t want to be rebuked and reprogrammed by the Maker!”

 

Said a thoughtful robot, “Maybe this was the Maker’s plan all along: that he wants us to perfect the planet his way through his two-way radio, through his indwelling in us, that we might share his glory in achieving such good.  But we imperfect robots keep insisting he return to fix all immaturity but our own.  So rather us being surprised by a return that would go harshly for us, he waits patiently for our maturing in humility and communication and oneness with him.”

 

“But stop!” cried another.  “This is too much information for my computer!”

 

“No,” said the thoughtful robot, “Rather isn’t this why we have computers, to figure complicated matters?  From dust the Maker created us in his image not to remain dumb destroyers of the planet but to be this planet’s perfection.”

 

To which the first prophet robot replied, “The Maker will return and make this planet perfect.  We will have nothing to do with it.”

 

But the thoughtful robot said, “Something inside me says even now the Maker is returning in us, and you are all correct that he will make this planet perfect, but not without you all having a chance to have everything good to do with it.  But you must love your autonomy less and your Maker more.”

 

By this time the whole group of robots were getting disturbed with the thoughtful robot, so they voted to turn off this outspoken robot as well.

 

This kept happening – thoughtful robots who were turned off by the majority – until the remaining the robots came to believe the Maker had been returning and communicating with them all, and inviting them to be so indwelt, improved and empowered with his superior goodness.

 

Eventually the planet of robots perfected their world, but not without struggle.  In fact the struggle was part of the perfecting process.

 

And the Maker did finally return.  He scolded the robots, saying to them, “Did you not see me in that second prophetic robot who spoke truly about the future?  Why did you turn him off?  Did you not see me in the thoughtful robots you also turned off?  In truth, I have been returning in your midst the entire time.  When you saw and heard them, you saw and heard me.”

 

The Maker also eliminated the stubborn robots, including the first prophetic robot who spoke of an easy future for all who behaved supinely.  Then the Maker left once again.

 

The robots came to believe whether the Maker was present on their planet or away to other parts of the universe, it made little difference because with their two-way radios, the Maker was with them always.  And they saw, and confirmed and honored the Maker in each other.

 

But the robots who had been turned off because they spoke truly about the future, they had been taken.  The Maker had turned them back on and whisked them from the planet to be with him wherever he went.

 

So it turns out that the robots were right to be concerned about their future.  Those that got it right were glad they did – for eons.  Those that got it wrong were sorry… until they were no more.

Others Generally Unrecognized Manifest God’s Truth

 

Just before 1,000 A.D. many Christians wanted to know, would the Lord return?  Many said, yes, the Lord will come at any moment.  They longed to see Jesus.

 

But a prophet came along who said that Jesus returns in our hearts, when we are prepared.  He called to remembrance the saints of the past millennia, even great leaders and generals, even great commoners.  He said their greatness was due to being indwelt by God.   He said in such as are indwelt, you can see the face of Jesus.

 

Further, this prophet said that just as God indwelt saints since His resurrection, he would continue to do so in the future.  He said to watch for leaders in religion, science, politics, industry, poetry, literature, music and all areas of human life.  These leaders would draw the world from darkness to light as they fought against poverty, slavery, drudgery, hatred and all forms of low character.  And many leaders would be unrecognized commoners.

 

He said that the human race had come a long way, but had further need to progress in being indwelt of God.  He said the past thousand years was proof enough of mankind’s godless depravity but also angelic reach.

 

He said, “Jesus’ literal return is His coming in our hearts.  Can’t you see?”

 

The people couldn’t see anything but their own anger against the prophet.  They preferred a more lazy approach to Jesus’ return.  So they pleaded with the authorities to do something to stop this persecution of their indolent spirits.

 

So the authorities decided to arrest the prophet and cut off his tongue.  Before his moment of silencing came, they asked if he had any last words to say.

 

The prophet said, “I have a vision of one thousand years from now, in the year 2,000!  People will be like they are now, again expecting the literal return of Jesus.  And they will be driven by jealousy and laziness to not honor the great ones of history or of their time because of their need for an easy religion waiting only for God’s coming. 

 

“And other prophets will come two thousand years after Christ’s birth.  And they will say Christ comes in your hearts to bring life.  And they will be despised, as I am despised. 

 

“The future will be dark for those with darkened hearts, but will be light for those with God’s light in their hearts.  Weep for yourselves in darkness, or rejoice if you are in God’s light!  God has given you the gift of your future. Take God’s gift to you!”

 

And with that, the authorities took the tongue out of the prophet’s mouth.  They said, “Surely this man is a fool.  Jesus will come at any moment.”

 

And at that moment Jesus came and judged them for their deeds.  But they saw nothing.  And since then such who continue to see nothing steadfastly profess that Jesus will return at any moment in a manifested body… as long as it is nobody on earth.

 

But for two thousand years Jesus has manifested in whom the covetous, the false witnesses, the thieves, the adulterers, the murderers, the dishonorable, the blasphemers, the vain, the idolatrous and the godless pretenders say He cannot.  For such as Jesus can inhabit are superior to those He cannot.

 

And those in whom God cannot yet inhabit sometimes are shepherds who teach what they only know themselves, which is that God does not return in their own spirit.  But God does indwell in the pure, the noble, the humble and the always present remnant, which is alive to the always present God. 

 

God even returns in those who are not aware of it, even in those who teach God has not yet returned.  They do not discern when God is manifesting in themselves and when He is not.  Great are the paradoxes of God and the mysteries of this life He has given us.

 

But God’s saints seem to live in a different field of force, an unseen aura of God, in which there are no coincidences, but rather an abundance of miracles, chastisements, rebukes, awesome tests of character, divine empowerment, wonders, signs and love.

 

Thus has truth manifested itself in the past.  Thus does truth manifest in the present.  And thus will truth manifest itself in the future.  This: despite church teachings to the contrary.

 

And some day truth will be known in the faces of others in whom is seen God.  And this cloud of witnesses, manifesting the Lord Jesus Christ, shall do our Father’s will on earth, which will result in greater like-minded peace among the peaceful, which is the restoration of all things.  This: while the evil-hearted continue to eliminate themselves through their own self-destructive, chaotic ways.

 

Thus begins the next thousand years.  Will people manifest Christ now or wait a return?

 

And what will the prophets ten centuries from now in 3,000 A.D. say about your life and your family that came after you?  And what will have been your part in God’s kingdom struggle on earth at the turn of the next millennium? 

 

Will we have created the greatest thousand years of truth the world has ever seen?  Or will we have waited, while Jesus was knocking on our door, for truth to arrive?

Is it time, my son?

 

Yes, oh righteous father, it is time.

 

And you are not happy that it is time?

 

No, father, I am not.

 

Why not?

 

I thought there could be some other way.

 

Some way not written in the record?

 

No, father, some other way that would not break the record.

 

But now it is time to keep the record.

 

Yes, father.  They refuse to let me come quickly in their lives.  They believe the wrong things about me, about you, about our spirit.

 

Because they believe you did it all, they do nothing.

 

I used to be able to come quickly in more of them:  Behold the greatest generation, when we fought the lords of evil!  Behold their presidents, as when I helped in Gettysburg the one named Lincoln!  Behold their founding fathers!  Behold so many kings, queens, nobles and peasants of the ages!  Behold in the beginning with Paul and the disciples!  But now behold how so few I am in, how few fight our battles, how few love with our love…and the rest are unclean in spirit, soul and body.  I cannot come quickly in them.

 

And they wait for you to come and fix everything, or for you to rapture them from their troubles, or to promise eternal blessings to them while they still have life yet to live.

 

And I cannot come quickly in their lives because of the lies in their hearts!  So it is time.

 

Yes!  It is time to release the Overwhelming Scourge of Spirits: Selfishness, Vanity, Blasphemy, Uncleanness, Ungratefulness, Murder, Lust, Theft, Lies and Desire.

 

Oh father, the earth is not ready.  It will overwhelm them.  They believe themselves clean but refuse my entry because of their filth – the scourge will stir them to madness.

 

But if they awaken to the lying spirits they are of, they may repent and receive you.

 

Yes, father, it is time to finish the prophetic record.  Begin the overwhelming scourge.

Waves of unrighteousness now come.  And the world is not ready.  People are not ready.

 

Peace cannot be found, though it is available.  Love cannot be found, though it is available.  Joy cannot be found, though it is available.

 

Peace, love and joy are available in Me, the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, but not by other idols, not by other means.

 

Waves of unrighteousness come to expose unrighteous spirits and natures in people.  Will they repent?  Will they humble themselves?  Will they be sorry for hurting others?

 

Or will they become dark, darker and darker still?  Must they join in close fellowship with gross darkness covering the people?  Or will they repent and come to the light, which is Me, the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth?

Who Was an Expert on Spirits?

The Answer:  Jesus!

 

One can be a Christian, follow the rules of God and do quite well without ever knowing much about good or evil spirits.  Such a blessed one, gifted with faith to follow our Lord’s admonitions, gets excellent results.  But if one struggles in his or her Christian walk, which would include most of us, it might pay to know about good and evil spirits.

 

First of all, spirits operate in a legal realm of rights.  Unforgiveness gives evil spirits greatly expanded rights, while forgiveness does the reverse.

 

Second, confession of sin gives good spirits greatly expanded rights, while denial of sins does the reverse.

 

Third, we need know nothing about how spirits work in us yet still do things that fill our lives with all of the spirits of either heaven or hell.  When a bad spirit rises up, one must refuse it just as when dieting one refuses desert.

 

Most people appear to not want to know what spirit they are of, especially if it is bad.  To know is to shed light on the spirit-complex in operation in a person’s soul.  Bad spirits live in darkness, good in light.  Humility keeps the lights on.  Pride keeps the lights off.  And a person’s eyes tell the story of their light switch, if it has been on or off.

 

The greatest leaders will tell their followers, “I could be wrong.”  The worst leaders will say, “I am right.”   By this they mean they are right now, and in most every instance, so there is no need to confess the remote possibility of fallibility.  This, then, gives legal right for such proud leaders to be wrong, never see it and continue in deception.

 

Conversely, leaders that say things like, “Correct me if I am wrong,” give rights to the spirit of correction and reduce rights from spirits of deception.  This makes a more mistake-free environment and record.  If these leaders are ever wrong, they react quickly.

 

One would think television preachers would be the greatest models of humility, of begging for correction, of publicly showing a discovered error, of rejoicing in opportunities to model confessing a sin and regaling in great life-examples of such in their ministry.  Regrettably, what is seen is pretty much the opposite, which bodes unavoidable ill for them one would suppose with more than a fair amount of certainty.

 

To demonstrate avoidance of pride might have been why Jesus could not receive the pandering title “good master.”  Luke 18:18-19

 

People who want to be more like Jesus need to know more about spirits.  He was an expert.  In His ministry he cast evil spirits out of a boy, a girl, a man and a woman.  But today, we are told by leaders from both secular and religious institutions, people need never concern themselves with evil spirits, because they do not exist.

 

However, denial in the existence of evil spirits gives right to, of course, more evil spirits.  So like gas, air and spark in an engine, spirits are an explosive subject if poorly handled.  If used correctly, you’ve got a great engine for good.  If not understood, you’ve got a coming disaster.

 

How can this age be so technically proficient and spiritually unaware?

 

One would suppose it is possible to consider ancient times when most individuals had little power.  Even if an individual or a nation of individuals had gross spiritual ignorance, what great harm could they do?

 

Now, however, individuals and nations with gross spiritual ignorance can do great harm.  Because of technology available power is increasing exponentially.  Only 19 individuals on September 11, 2001 caused over 3,000 deaths and a trillion dollar hit to the US economy.  Certain rebel nations now have or will soon have nuclear arms.

 

It appears in the timeline of man’s history on earth, God is making it mighty expensive for humans in particular or nations in general to not worship God in truth and spirit.  Humans are now too empowered to be evil at the percentages now prevalent. 

 

Again, if all individuals or even most individuals or at least a significant percentage of individuals could hear and obey God, then there would be sufficient harmony to make the world significantly more peaceful. 

 

The goal of true religion would not be to just make converts, but to make disciples who hear and obey God, and worship Him in spirit and truth, and stay corrected and stay heaven-on-earth making.  Voila!  Oh Happy Day!  New Jerusalem!  World Peace!

 

Thus, individuals would not become slaves to wrong ideology.  Individuals would not be suicide bombers.  Individuals also would not all become crazed evangelists either.  A person who was supposed to be a doctor, would become a doctor.  A person who was supposed to be an artist, would become an artist.  By, with and through God people would be great, just as saints and heroes of the ages have shown us all along!

 

Not all people would be preachers.  Not all people would become any one thing.  The only universal constant would be that good people would universally get along with good people, and bad people would be allowed to suffer consequences for their choosing bad.

 

But more good people would be great people.  Or as it says on totem poles honoring the departed at Sage Hill Clay Sports in Reno, Nevada, “He was a good Indian.  We have no higher praise.”

 

It would be, in fact, a new heaven on earth if more people could worship God in spirit and truth and hear and obey our Creator.

How to Get Rid of Evil Spirits

 

How do we get rid of evil spirits in ourselves?  By caring what spirit we are of.  Jesus scolded his disciples, “Ye know not what spirit ye are of.”

 

Obviously, the disciples did not know.  Most people don’t know, or care.  But we must know and care.

 

Step one is to repent.  Repent to Father God you might have been a Christian without caring or knowing what spirit you were of.  So review things and repent.  And begin controlling your environment so it has scriptures of light, music of light, pictures of light, moving pictures of light, friends of light, thoughts of light, words of light and deeds of light.  Stop feeding the wrong “dogs.”  Feed the good “dogs” in your spiritual being.  Feed truth, however bitter, to your soul.  For the rest of your life live for truth, die to lies.

 

Step two is to repent to others where appropriate.  Repent to the mature in Christ who can maturely handle your coming to them in repentance.  Don’t go to the immature or it will just stir up things for the worse.  But shed the light of God’s truth on your evil manifestations.  Agree with any enemy who says you sinned, because you probably did.

 

Step three is to watch out for evil spirits rising up in you, and then squelch them at the moment they appear in the forefront of your consciousness.  Say to yourself, “No, you spirit of anger.  I see you rising up in me!  I won’t let you manifest.  I will have the mind of Christ.  You want me to do something sinful by manifesting anger.  I refuse to let that spirit take over right now, or ever!  God have mercy on me!  God help me to not be angry.  I apply the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth to that angry spirit and its complex of evil spirits.  Spirit of God’s patience, come now.  Angels of God help me.  I ask now for God’s spirit of power, love and a sound mind to come to me now.  I see anger as a spirit from Satan and I refuse it entrance to the forefront of my consciousness.  I will be calm.  I will be good.  I will have the mind of Christ.  My soul is now calm, praise God.  I give God the glory.  But for God’s grace, I’d be an angry fool in jail.  But now I am in God’s holy presence.  Thank you God, you are so good to me!  Amen.”

 

Step four is to not be upset when you fail at step three.  As soon as possible repent, regroup and begin again.  Know, however, evil spirits want to increase power in their manifestations.  Don’t let the power of their manifestations increase, not ever.  Don’t ever wallow in depression.  And don’t ever go on a drinking or drug binge in exasperation.  And especially, don’t go on a mental tirade against God asserting life is unfair.  Don’t sit in the judgment seat.  You want the mercy seat.  Stay humble.  Stay calm.  Don’t let Satan double back on you…ever.

 

Step five is to understand Jesus’ admonition to his disciples, who asked how many times to forgive a brother who asks for forgiveness.  The answer was seven times seventy, or 490.  This number means sometimes it takes around 500 attempts and failures regarding an evil spirit that manifests in a sinner trying to overcome that sin.  Be patient in yourself and others facing a strong spirit that keeps manifesting some 500 times.  But know there is a limit.  It is not a game.  After about 500 times, the person has succeeded or failed.  You could succeed or fail, or they could succeed or fail.  Then stop and let it go to recompense.  Let God handle the recompense situation, He’s an expert at it.

 

Step six is to understand this is no game.  It is life or death to you.  Also, it is life or death to the spirits in you.  It is also life or death to your family and everyone else you touch.

 

Step seven is to know that spirits operate in complexes.  You must fight them individually and also collectively.  A spirit of addiction works with a spirit of alcoholism.  So if you kick out the alcoholism, you may find yourself still addicted to cigarettes. 

 

Step eight is all prayer.  Pray in humility.  Pray, “Lord have mercy on me.”  Take responsibility for your spirits you let in by hate, by passion, by frustration, by no seeming fault of your own.  Don’t be tempted to point at others with splinters in their eyes.  Get the logs out of your eyes.  It is enough simply to clean your own house and fill it with good spirits.

 

Step nine is never give up.  The evil spirits will give up if you don’t.

 

Step ten is succeed or die trying.  All try.  You must succeed.

How a Subject Can Overcome Evil

When Guided by an Eagle Helper

 

This is a generic outline on Overcoming as I understand it.  For sake of clarity, I have named the person God uses to help someone going through Overcoming as “Helper.”  The person that the “Helper” helps is named “Subject.”

 

What Happens to Most of Us:

1)      We live in a seen and unseen world.  The unseen world has spirits, good and bad.

2)      Examples of bad spirits are jealous rage, anger, deception, constant turmoil, controlling, dirty living, dirty speaking, negative speaking, cursing others, sickness, perversion, homosexuality, thanklessness, craven desires, gambling, lust, alcohol, drugs, smoking, risk-taking, self-destruction, lying, torturing, business-unto-perdition, lording evil dominion, frenzy, demonic interruption, etc.

3)      Bad spirits get put in us (all living human beings) by trauma, by bad and intense exposure to that bad spirit through an intensely bad situations and persons.

4)      In the trauma, the victim (“Subject”) hated, resented, loathed, and was eventually overcome by the spirit or complex of spirits.

5)      Then the bad spirits got in the Subject, usually without subject knowing it.

6)      Then later, the Subject does the same thing to other people.  (The Subject unconsciously uses bad spirits to hurt others, who don’t know how to stop it.)

7)      Hell is expanded in this fashion, virtually unopposed.

8)      If the Subject prays, perhaps God will send a “Helper” (imperfect tho’ they be.)

 

 

How to Recognize This Pattern:

1)      Most of us can’t, but with God’s help the Subject might see what is happening.

2)      The Subject must not argue with the Helper but agree to shine light on darkness.

3)      Look for God’s hand of stirring (intensive experiences) and God’s timing.

4)      Both the Subject and Helper must keep faith in God.  (Neither person is crazy.  But the bad spirits in people make them seem crazy.)

5)      Sin deceives, so usually the Subject believes the Helper needs help, not Subject.

6)      Subject usually loses control and is less experienced, Helper has more experience

7)      Subject usually has high level of thanklessness.

8)      Subject usually is unstable in the carnal realm of the world.

9)      Subject usually is tossed by winds of any situation, either in world or spirit realm.

10)  Subject usually has numerous “hot buttons” making them “set off.”

11)  Subject is usually unhappy, blaming others and sometimes murderously violent.

 

How to Get Bad Spirits Out:

1)      Subject must feed only good spirits in self, and stop feeding bad spirits  (This is the practice of feeding the “good dog” in us, not the “bad dog.”)

2)      Subject must desire God’s light on the matter (see bad spirits in charge of self.)

3)      Subject must humble self and admit bad spirits are running amok!  (Amok means “possessed with or motivated by a murderous or violently uncontrollable frenzy.”)

4)      Work in God’s timing, not one’s own timing.

5)      Don’t sink the ship with the lip, meaning don’t say anything bad between parties.

6)      Eagles pick flesh off bones as disinterested Helpers.  It is a painful, ugly process.

7)      Beware of word-cursing, especially “always,” “never,” “hate” and “divorce.”

8)      Helper must be very careful to not be penetrated in energy, sleep, finances, etc.

9)      Assume a high level of self-destruction in Subject.

10)  Assume a high level of irrational behavior and thinking in Subject.

11)  Assume paradoxically, Subject has keen insight into bad spirits of others.

12)  Subject is greatly helped by water baptism.

13)  Subject is even more-greatly helped by Holy Spirit baptism.

14)  Assume over 80% of Subject’s life is typically run wrong by Subject’s spirits.

15)  Believe over 80% of Subject’s life will eventually be run correctly by Subject.

16)  Recognize seasons when Helper must stop help or contact with Subject.

17)  Subject and Helper must hear and obey God as if life depended on it.

18)  Subject must refrain from enlisting aid of nominal Christians against Helper.

19)  Only work with God-assigned people, never outside of God’s will.

20)  Subject must not run off prematurely and try to become Helper to other Subjects.

21)  Helper must respect Subject and Subject must respect Helper.

22)  Both Helper and Subject must believe God honors both for working together.

23)  Allow God to stay in control, don’t let Subject remove that control.

24)  Remember, waves tend to make rocks smooth.  The wild waves bashing spirits out-of-control against each other can achieve smoothing and balance in us.

25)  The eventual goal is a balance of good spirits in an individual, even symmetry.

26)  If hell is really ramped up, perhaps wrong spirits were fed.  (In other words, did Subject go to places with bad spirits, or allow self to be depressed, or take drugs/alcohol, or lose energy, lose sleep, lose health, or lose other such things?)

27)  In spirit stirrings, memory of Helper and Subject tends to be stolen (forgotten.)

28)  Helper and Subject must go toward love-environments.  (In other words, go towards groups with God in them, go toward God-blessed events, go towards God-blessed entertainment, go toward God-blessed days of nature, etc.)

29)  Helper and Subject must go away from non-God environments.  In other words, go away from groups without God in them, away from songs without God in them, away from entertainment without God in them, away from all un-anointed people, places and things.)  ((Otherwise, bad spirits get stronger.))

30)  Realize every step toward God is a miracle and be extremely thankful!

31)  Realize every step away from God is an altogether too real a tragedy.

32)  Realize Subject and Helper can easily lose, fail and have terrible outcomes.

33)  If Subject fails, eternal life may be lost, and all who depend on that Subject to succeed.  This could be thousands and thousands of souls!

34)  Helper and Subject can succeed or fail, each individually or together.  (There are no guarantees for anybody.)

35)  Stay thankful and close to God. 

36)  Take lots of God-remedies to stay charged-up and balanced.  (In other words, stay close to God’s nature, take walks, take swims, get outside, plant things, do good things that make you happy, pray good prayers, keep faith and self HAPPY!)

37)  Assume old bad spirits will be activated in Helper by Subject and vica versa.

38)  Assume Subject will rail at imperfections of Helper.

39)  Subject is unwise to refuse God-sent help of Helper.

40)  Subject must honor the higher position-in-God of Helper, not pretend the reverse.

41)  Only God makes a soul beautiful.  If dogs, children and people run from Subject when Subject is out-of-control with wild-spirit-stirrings; while simultaneously dogs, children and people are drawn toward in-control Helper; then do not deny the obvious:  The Subject needs help from the God-sent Helper.

42)  Helper should not rescue a Subject not God-ready.  It is utterly useless to do so.

43)  Helper will hurt the Subject, so the Helper must model repentance to the Subject.  (The Subject must maturely receive this, not use it as a weapon against the Helper.)

44)  Helper must recognize release signals from God to stop helping the Subject.

45)  Roles can strangely be reversed by God, to model correct things.

46)  Roles can strangely be reversed by enemies of God, to great ruination of program.

47)  For Helper and Subject, the process is torture for all concerned.  It is excruciating.  It is seemingly endless.

48)  Eventual benefit to Subject is enormous.  All who were waiting for Subject to become their Helper now can receive salvation.

49)  Eventual benefit to Helper is enormous.  Basically, by so helping the Subject, the Helper “hides a multitude of sins.”  (James 5:20)

50)  Both Subject and Helper may hear from Father God, “Well done thy good and faithful servants!”

 

What Subject Must Realize About Overcoming Process:

1)      Subject needs help, for Subject’s spirits are out-of-control

2)      Subject’s spirits are in a successful self-destruction course.  (All will crash & die.)

3)      Subject must honor Helper, God and this God-ordained path.  (Fight the thoughts that the Helper is a lunatic or needs “fixing” by easily enlisted dupes.)

4)      Subject must realize other options cost much more in time, pain and money.

5)      Subject must realize Subject  is expendable, for even Jesus was crucified.

6)      Subject must realize: It is not all about the Subject.  For legions of generations will be in darkness and in death evermore unless help someday arrives from the Subject, after the Subject has success in overcoming bad spirits.

7)      Subject must use all available methods to increase good spirits.  This includes uplifting movies, events, scenic nature walks, uplifting animals, etc., etc.)

8)      Subject must realize improvement comes line-upon-line of understanding doctrine, understanding correct thinking, understanding correct speaking, understanding correct actions, understanding life lived the best!

9)      There will be God-ordained rests and recreations.  Realize God is not onerous, and will never give more than anyone can bear.

10)  Don’t fight the river of God, however it flows:  Placid, furious, dry, raging, overflowing!  Simply don’t be uptight, and go and flow with God.

11)  Fight depression, victim whining, mind-shut-down, Helper-shutdown, suicide.

12)  Work hard to reject all bad spirits.  (i.e. Shouting, anger, jealously, suspicion, etc.)

13)  Work hard to receive all good spirits.  (i.e. Happiness, faith, pleasantness, etc.)

14)  When a bad spirit rises up (i.e.  When Subject thinks, I hate being corrected; Subject must say, No! to hate and Yes! To being teachable and correctable.  Ditto for anger.  Ditto for all bad spirits.)

15)  When good things appear on the horizon, chase after them!

16)  When bad things appear on the horizon, run away!

17)  Judge and recall past experiences to be able to chase the correct horizon.

18)  Never refuse to go back in your mind to an incident that should have taught you something!  Realize God went to quite and effort to show you where you needed correction.  If you reject your own God-sent lessons, God will stop sending you  lessons.  (Pray to God he doesn’t consider you uncorrectable!)

19)  Fight having an uncorrectable spirit.  Otherwise, no overcoming is possible.

20)  A self-destructing spirit makes for a life with little good structure.  Chaos is an enemy of God.

21)  An orderly spirit makes a life with good structure.  God is a God of order.

22)  A bad-timing spirit ruins good things with bad time.  God is a God of time.  Fight being deceived by a bad-timing spirit.  This will convince you (wrongly) that doing the right thing does not work.  You must do the right thing at the right time.

23)  Consider doing a fast (stopping) on talking.  This gets you closer to God, and further from fights between Helper and Subject.

24)  Seek to do permanent damage to one’s own ego.  Get self off the throne of your life.

25)  Seek to “catch” bad spirits manifesting.  Catch yourself thinking and then going into rage about something or the other.  Catch the thoughts as they rise up!

26)  Realize most Subjects bring death of some sort to their Helper.  Just as a drowning victim tries powerfully to drown his lifesaver, the same thing happens with Subject to Helper.  This is ugly, but true.

27)  Realize the whole process will be ugly.  (It is like cancer or gangrene:  Local death in tissues must be removed from the living body.)

28)  Sometimes it is better for Helper and Subject to communicate by phone, not face-to-face.  (Because bad spirits get activated face-to-face easier than by phone.)

29)  Realize that civil authorities are best avoided, so long as overcoming remains in the realm of God-ordained stirrings.

30)  If overcoming-in-God ever gets dangerous physically or financially; this is tragic; God no-longer can help; self-destruction has won; the people have lost.  God is not pleased.  The kingdom of heaven is not expanded.  Avoid this tragedy.

31)  Keep from blabbing to friends about the process.  To worldly people, the Helper looks to need help and the Subject can appear to be the helper.

32)  Nevertheless, the Helper usually is greatly helped by the Subject, just as any teacher can learn more from the students.

33)  It is absolutely critical for the Subject to not reject help from the Helper.

34)  If nothing seems to be working, have faith, more tools are available:

a.       Fasting (food, words, bad thoughts)

b.      Intercession (pray and ask others to pray for you)

c.       Faith (pray and ask for more…simply say, “I believe.  Period.”

d.      Acquit self as a “man” or as a “woman.”  Simply do your best.  Period.

e.       Immerse self in reading, speaking, listening to words of the Bible.

f.       Trips may be God-ordained to get to next higher level.  (These are not escape-from-God trips but God-ordained trips to get what you need.)

g.      Immerse self in anointing of God (at meetings, from people, artifacts, places, movies, from nature, whatever God deems sufficient.)

h.      Deliverance ministries cast out bad spirits, but then can return easily.

i.        Get a second or third opinion from another qualified-in-God Helper.  (Not from sympathetic like-minded friends-of-the-world.)

j.        Check, check and re-check to see what is missing in program.

k.      Stop leaning on man’s help!

l.        Lean harder on God’s help!

m.    Lean hardest – by far—lean hardest on your inner good to do job!  (God wants you – perhaps not a deliverer, perhaps not even Himself – to get credit for what you have done with your correct decisions and self control)

n.      Begin small disciplines (push-ups, water dousing, praying, smiling, waking up happy, whatever works easily in small steps) and build up to big steps later.

o.      Ask God for mercy.  Pray, “God have mercy!”

35)  Subject should have faith and draw out help from Helper.  This will make Helper able to do greater things than thought possible.

36)  A quiet person may have the most to say.  Listen to the silence of God.

37)  A talkative person usually has the least to say.  Learn to shut up.

38)  Usually what is happening is written large yet hidden from all who don’t have eyes to see, but discernable from those with eyes of the spirit to see, if the seer fights to not run from the ugly scene or any scene so-displayed.  (For example, a filthy house is an indication of that house-owner’s soul.  A hot-tempered man might have a vehicle that over-heats.  Unclean spirits make bad smells.  Etc., etc.)

39)  Honor God’s calendar.  Most people don’t, and hurt themselves.

40)  Beware of days surrounding a full moon, spirits get out-of-control.

41)  Beware of deadline days, such as beginning of months, school year, calendar year, Jesus’ birth, betrayal, death, resurrection.

42)  Realize that drugs, alcohol wrongly used, depression, wrong-talk, wrong-actions, disobeying God, not listening to the Holy Spirit, or adopting a do-not-care attitude deals death to all.

43)  Take responsibility for the spirit you are of and the mistakes you make.  That is the goal of overcoming:  To control one’s own spirit and receive truth.

44)  Realize truth is within us all. 

45)  Realize consequences:  Eating a cake, means you don’t have a cake.  Spending money one place means it is not available another place.  Spending time one place means it is not available another place.  Spending energy one place means it is not available another place.  Don’t blame others or the world because consequences are unavoidable.  Take responsibility for lousy decisions which rob yourself and family from the good God intended. 

46)  Pray for wisdom to know what to do for one’s own self and family.

47)  Subject and Helper must pray for each other, forgive each other, bless each other.

48)  Ego, stress, anger, rage, resentment and wrong judgment all work together as bad spirits, destroying the good in life.  Refuse to get stressed out over anything!

49)  Love conquers all.  (Rejoice you are chosen to overcome sin!)

50)  Hate conquers people in sin.

51)  God is love, loves us and wants us to love each other in freedom.

52)  Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

53)  God wants us all free from sin, including family-destroying bad-spirits.

54)  God wants our spirits to soar like eagles.

55)  God says, “Be ye perfect (spiritually mature) even as I am perfect.”

56)  So God commands us to be spiritually mature.

57)  So, be spiritually mature.

58)  Who has a right to be immature?  No one, but a child.  Don’t be childish.

59)  Be a good man of God, be a good woman of God.  Be good.

60)  Trust, Love and Obey God.

Die to Self, Be True and See God’s Signs

Confirming or Denying Universal Truths

 

According to the New Testament Jesus wants us to die to self.  This is not a popular sermon, but occasionally preachers will preach it.

 

Sometimes the preachers will admit the death-to-self message is a hard sell to members of the audience.  Few embrace it.  Few want to hear it.  Fewer can believe it.  When the sermon is over, the congregation likely as not gives a collective sigh of relief.

 

How can more people be convinced to die to self?  Again, the problem is how religion of today describes the future.  An easy and escapist future means few will really want to die to self.  Because weak and erroneous church doctrines, including rapture, imminent second return of fix-it-all Jesus and eternal security, do two main things:  First, they promote selfishness or self on the throne.  And second, they discourage death to self or enthroning God. 

 

This is why doctrines are important.  Bad church doctrines make antichrists.  Good doctrines make Christians, or people who can manifest Christ.   This is why seeker friendly churches cannot forever stay neutral on doctrine.  God is not neutral, his Church cannot be neutral, no one in heaven is neutral and in the end you and I cannot be neutral. 

 

Conversely, the In That Day Teachings teach taking responsibility for one’s own self manifesting Jesus by dying to self and worshipping God in spirit and truth. 

 

Still, it is hard to believe it is worth it to die to self.  So here are encouraging things to look forward to dying to self.

 

There are, in fact, mysterious benefits to sharing the cross of death with Jesus.  Mark 16:20 says, “And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.  Amen.”

 

Now Jesus could call up signs.  So could some prophets of old and some accomplished disciples.  But Mark 16:20 implies all with a sufficient percentage of God’s truth and Spirit (and we all have varying amounts of them) will have signs following them.  This covers a lot of territory.

 

However, an humble preacher or teacher will confess, it is hard to get the mysterious benefits going in one’s own life.  Harder still, is for a teacher to point out a sign currently happening that confirms the word of the teacher.  So few dare to teach in this realm, where confirmation comes not from man but God.

 

With signs God is continually confirming or denying everything, actually.  But you need to be brave.  Much of what we want God to confirm He does not and vice versa.

 

With the eyes of God’s Spirit in us we see God’s spiritual hand moving.  It is quite often “too much information” for us.  As a mercy, most of us are blinded to not be able to see in the spirit realm.

 

But if you successfully die to self, you can start seeing spiritually more things. Any examples I have of this seem immodest, self-serving, unbelievable or delusional.  So they probably have been or will be for you.

 

Sometimes God’s signs are so exotically creative I ponder them in my heart as awe inspiring witnesses to God’s omnipresence, omnipotence and love.  Who am I that God would do such for me?  Who are we that God would do such for all of us?

 

Your position in God, you will see, is always being confirmed or denied by God’s signs.  This includes your children, spouse, boss, company, pastor, church, radio preacher and televangelist.  Just watch with spiritual eyes to see what happens around people!

 

Sounds superstitious?  Maybe.

 

Your life will seem like a movie if you have truth and move with God’s Spirit.  Let Him direct you.  It is called worshipping God in Spirit and truth.  The benefits are enormous – heaven on earth and heaven in eternity!

 

Afterword:

 

Here is an example of God’s Mark 16:20 signs confirming the word, or God’s truth.

 

Last night at about 7:30 pm I wanted to go out to dinner.  I had been thinking of going to Denny’s restaurant.  However, when I got there and sat at a booth I felt I had to leave.  It would cost me $20 just to have a meal from a kitchen that didn’t smell too good.  So without ordering anything I told the waitress I had to leave.

 

I drove to a new IHOP restaurant about a mile away.  Suddenly everything started feeling better.  And I wrote the outline of what you have read above in a booth at the IHOP.

 

For only $7.99 I received a full meal with salad, drink and desert.  I talked with my waitress, Tammy.  She said that this marked a two-shift day for her.  Between shifts she had worried about getting a birthday present for her eight-year-old son.  She only had $75.  He wanted an expensive Xbox game player.  She went to a nearby pawn shop on her break.  An Xbox was there for $75.  She didn’t have enough to pay the tax.  So they lowered the price to include tax.  Praise God for hearing, obeying and confirming signs!

 

(Recently I stopped judging against things like video game players.  It doesn’t pay to be insanely rigid and think God is always opposed to video games.  If you have been rigidly locked into thinking without checking God’s now-rhema opinion, would you have left money in obedience for the waitress?  Or would you have sermonized against Xbox?)

 

My meal cost about $8.60 with tax.  I paid with a $20 bill and told the waitress to keep the change.  Maybe she needed a little cash, since she said she spent all of hers that day on her son’s gift.  I prayed that her son be blessed and have a new beginning at age eight.

 

When I got home I praised God for His signs and he gave me another.  I took my two Golden Retrievers for a walk.  The sky was clear and a half moon shined brightly.  A jet’s contrail had passed directly beneath the moon.  The effect gave a circular rainbow around the moon.  It only lasted a few minutes, but WOW!  How often do you see a nighttime circular rainbow around an unclouded moon?  This event seemed targeted to me, because the rainbow effect wasn’t observable outside my block.

 

On January 19, 2006 I made a video taping at Sand Harbor on the east side of Lake Tahoe.  After the sun set behind the Sierras, the sun reflected off clouds above the ridgeline and made a round sun reflection in the lake.  This seemed to be a sign Jesus (the Sun) wants us (the lake) to manifest Him in perfect wholeness or roundness.  You could easily see the sun in the lake, but you saw only clouds in the sky.  You can see this at the end of In That Day Teaching #80.  This also seemed to be a sign.  Such signs tend to follow me. 

 

On April 8, 2007 I flew from Reno to Orange County to be with my family for the holiday.  After the noon time meal, I walked from my parent’s house in Monarch Bay in Dana Point to the beach.  There a harbor seal had dragged itself a hundred yards to rest at the entrance to the beach club.  Lifeguards were guarding it, and had placed chairs around it.  The animal rested peacefully in the sun.  It was another sign to me, for I beheld a representation of life and resurrection for families and their disabilities:  an Easter Seal.

 

Maybe this is what it is like to hear and obey God and have signs follow you.  Maybe it isn’t.  I just pray to God it never stop happening in my life.  And I pray it starts happening, or increases at greater levels in your lives. 

 

It is hard to argue against a sign that God delivers.  It is also foolish.  More foolish still is to defend and argue against those that don’t believe.  As a mercy to others, I have left out countless examples wherein signs were provided by God showing his position between two people.

 

It came as quite a shock to me that so many times God provides an incident as a “for spiritual eyes only” sign, and not huge lightning strikes and thunders all can witness.  Somehow, I believe.  From the signs I must either take comfort or correction.   And I must thank God.

Be Ye Not Deceived…by the Unwitting

Vultures, Vultures Everywhere, Everywhere!

 

“I beg of you, Monsieur, watch yourself.  Be on guard.  This place is full of vultures, vultures everywhere, everywhere!” says a European as he puts his left arm compassionately around an Englishman in the movie Casablanca.  Of course when the European leaves, the Englishman finds his wallet has been stolen.

 

This classic scene is so memorable because it strikes a truism, that people warn others…about themselves.  It is a familiar theme in life.  We sometimes hear it from unwitting radio and television pastors.  Preacher A becomes upset by Preacher B, so Preacher A quotes Luke 21:8, “Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ: and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.”

 

Ipso facto – by that very word or fact – then we are to believe Rev. A and shun Rev. B as the Devil incarnate.  The problem never seems to fix itself because on another day Rev. B will say in dead serious tones to not be deceived by those vultures over in Rev. A’s camp.  Luke 21:8 back at you, brother!

 

Traditional Jewish scholars have a more enlightened approach.  If Rabbi A’s teaching contradicts Rabbi B’s, Rabbi C says they are both right.  If Rabbi D says they cannot both be right, Rabbi C agrees!  Time will tell who is right, so why fight?  This takes more maturity than the “two camps exchanging hate” crowd. 

 

Still, a person might want to know how to discern who is telling truth.  Well, truth prevails at pride’s expense and vice versa.  So first ask: is the teacher humble?  Has the teacher ever admitted fallibility in doctrine? 

 

A humble teacher might say:  I could be wrong.  I am no expert.  Better minds than mine have studied this more.  Correct me if I am wrong.  The Bible is not clear on this and we all come to different conclusions.  Parts of the Bible completely baffle me.  Such a humble preacher might be worth listening to.  Being humble, he is probably watching what spirit he is of.  He might be worshiping God in spirit and truth.  God might give him revelation denied the proud.

 

A prideful teacher might concentrate only on a narrow band of truths.  Since he is so focused on proclaiming how unquestioningly right is he while how unquestioningly wrong is another, he may not have a clue about what prideful, accusing and wrong spirits he might be of.  He may very well be showing that pride prevails at truth’s expense!  He may not be manifesting Christ at all.  He even might be closer to manifesting antichrist!

 

Another test is the sound of a person’s voice.  Does it have a ring of truth when the matter is spoken forth?  Truths ring like a bell.  Lies do not resonate with what is true.

 

Too subjective?  Well, sorry to inform you, we live in a subjective world and learn to discern!  The Bible tells us in Matthew 7:28-29 that when the people heard Jesus speak, they were astonished at his doctrine for he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.  They discerned, and you can too.  It is innate in us, though oft beat down.

 

So listen to your teacher when talking about a debated matter.  Does the teacher sound like a scribe, or a legalistic person arguing the letter of the law and not having the spirit of God?  Voices that are high, wispy, cracked, faltering, strident, weak, argumentative, defensive and such may tell you that the doctrine is not supported by God’s Spirit.

 

With ears to hear, something like this happens.  The next paragraph shows how a preacher might connect (with God’s strong resonance) or disconnect (with God’s strong dissonance) from truth as shown using the following exaggerated typestyles.

 

Congregation, I tell you, the Bible is Truth!  It will explain the Rapture.  The Bible is truth!  It will prepare you for the future.  The Bible is truth!  It will tell you how Jesus can live in us and shine!  The Bible is truth!  And when the rapture comes, you will be prepared.  And should Jeeeezus tarry, Wednesday night we’ll talk about the coming antichrist.  This week, read the Bible!

 

This is how teachers flow in an out of truth.  It is how we all flow in an out of truth.  The closer to truth we are, the more of God’s Spirit is activated in us: the greater the activation, the greater good and actually the greater God.  (Recently I heard a conservative radio preacher whose voice changed from having God’s authority to that of the whiny professor in Disney’s Honey, I Shrunk the Kids as he discussed doctrines.)

 

So often, our preachers and teachers focus only on arguing truth, never admitting the slightest possibility of error, and therefore they increase the cacophony of Babel. 

 

How rare the preacher or teacher who first asks us to listen to the sound of his voice, to discern the spirit he is of and judge his doctrines, which might be in error, against scripture and God’s Spirit.  Such a teacher readily admits his fear of error and desire for correction (correction, of course, from like-minded humble spirits who don’t proudly proclaim absolute inerrancy in themselves either.)

 

Such a teacher might very well manifest the Lord Jesus Christ, and do surprising things.  God is transcendently good.  He is always right and always of a right spirit.

 

Abraham Lincoln put it this way: “When I do good, I feel good.  When I do bad, I feel bad.  That is my religion.”  

 

And dear reader, I’ll put it this way.  I could be wrong, but Jesus wants to manifest in every man, woman and child on this planet.  To help Him do that, we must be humble.

Introduction:  These teachings may seem harsh to those unfamiliar to them.  As for those who refuse a king’s reign, Jesus said in Luke 19:27 (Amplified) “[The indignant king ended by saying] But as for these enemies of mine who did not want me to reign over them – bring them here and slaughter them in my presence!”  When did Jesus become politically – oops I mean – religiously incorrect?  Or is it the wayward church?

 

The following miscellaneous statements and teachings are provided not solely as criticism of others, but primarily as a spiritual set of tools for a Christian to advance from one level to another.  The temptation is to merely see these as intellectual criticisms.  That would be a mistake. 

 

Use these tools to discover any dark spirits residing in your own self, attack them with confession and the blood of Jesus, disown them, agree with others you are guilty of employing them to gain unholy advantage, discern when they rise up in you to do something evil and refuse to allow them entrance into your conscious and even unconscious life.  By controlling such evil thoughts, you control those evil spirits and subsequently your spirit, soul and body.  That is what makes a person good, by God!  Pride, especially intellectual or religious, is what makes a person bad, by Satan!  Pick your master, everybody has one.  But there is only one good master.

 

This is a lot to digest.  Stick with it.  If it hits you too hard with too much, take comfort that you are not alone.  Paul spoke so much to King Festus in Acts 26:24 that “Festus said with a loud voice, ‘Paul, thou art beside thyself, much learning doth make thee mad.’”

 

I hope in the following I have not been beside myself with demons in control but beyond myself with the Holy Spirit in control.  And to the people of the world, perhaps I should appear quite mad.  At least so thought Festus of Paul.  I know not what others may write in regards to me.  I am trying to serve my generation in my time.  I just hope you can feel the truth that I feel, serve the God that I serve and know the joy that I have. 

 

$20 Million Jets –Proof that some Christian doctrines are wrong is provided by the fleet of jets that certain televangelists now justify.  Recently the $20 million Citation X has been a popular purchase.  If $20 Million was used for investment instead of ego exalting, a 10% annual return would be $2 million.  In thirty years a 10% return could grow to $349 million.  Suppose an airline ticket costs $2,000.  With $20 million you could simply purchase 10,000 airline tickets.  Or if you just spent the interest received on $20 million in a year, you could buy 1,000 tickets, or three per day.  Or you could even buy one hundred $20,000 charter flights per year, one every fourth day.  Consider that commercial flights earn awards for free trips, lowering costs.  But flying one’s own executive jet creates exorbitant costs most every time.  But in the galactic battle between the competitive pride of jet set preachers and humble grain-of-salt reason, the winners appear to be the high flying gospel spinners.  Having done the math, dare we do the logic?  Is it perhaps miscreant doctrines that create, justify and promulgate such brazen blings?

3 ½ Years – When the Bible speaks prophetically, often it is in spiritual language.  So when three and a half prophetic years are seen in the Bible, it may mean the half of the number of seven, which is perfection or Christ-likeness.  Therefore the half-way period may mean an indefinite period of time taking as long as it takes for the perfection of Christ-likeness to be achieved, which is seven years or more correctly, times.  (Thanks to Gary Wiley of Reno, Nevada for that observation.)  Thus an angry man will be tested for three and a half years, meaning as long as it takes, by God until he passes the test. 

 

4 Horsemen (Spirits) of the Apocalypse – Now at this particular time, which perhaps the Bible identifies as “In That Day,” what does God use to accomplish greater overcoming?  He uses four amazing spirits.  They are otherwise known as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, which refers to Chapter Six of Revelation. 

 

These four strong spirits, represented by horse and rider, are black for judgment scales, famine, drought and mass starvation, as in a drought of rhema teachings of truth; pale green or gray for bruising, death, hell following, sword and hunger; fiery red for anger, impatience, violence, war, removal of peace and strife unto killing one another; and white for conquering and convicting power of the Holy Spirit, with rider carrying a bow with no arrows and given a crown symbolizing a nonviolent rise to power.

 

So God releases these powerful, but unseen, spirits in waves upon the earth!  We are stirred up in black prejudice and judgment, gray despair and death, red anger and violence and eventually white conviction and repentance.  

 

Thus when waves of such spirits hit the earth, people are stirred up.  Wild things tend to happen, as with a full moon.  During such wild stirrings, often our inner demons are exposed.  We can use these opportunities to then fight our inner evil spirits who have come out to play, often without our overt permission!  We repent and become overcomers in Christ.  In conclusion, if we knew of this spiritual process, we might have greater victory over our inner demons!  (It is an old process, but becoming ever stronger.)

 

Behold, the Lord has a strong and mighty agent;

         As a storm of hail, a tempest of destruction,
         Like a storm of mighty overflowing waters,
         He has cast it down to the earth with His hand. –
Isaiah 28:2 NASB

 

A Cypress, California pediatrician was arrested because he became infuriated when another person cut in line while he was waiting in his car at a gas station.  He grabbed a tire iron and confronted the line cutter, who called the police, who arrested the doctor.  When interviewed by the local press, the doctor said he was embarrassed by his own surprising behavior.  He said given the opportunity, he would never do that again.  He even said, “Oh my God… We must pray… and be patient.”  Thus did the White Spirit checkmate Red, one hopes. 

 

True end times eschatology is not fearful, not fear-mongering, not something for ministry leaders with egregious spirits to profit from by selling fear-based books, TV shows and conventions to escape-hungry, fear-hungry, distraction-hungry hordes.  This loving and making lies puts sheep and shepherd in desolate whoremonger camps outside God’s gates. The blind lead the blind into ditches.

 

666 – The mark of the beast is not a computer chip under the skin mandated by a one world government.  Rather it is a spiritual mark God’s angels put on a person’s spirit, soul and body if those areas of that person’s life are the number of man, which is six.  If people are marked with three sixes, they cannot buy God’s greater truths.  So they are stuck with small doctrines and big lies.

80/20 Percentage Change – How much does a Christian’s life change?  When a person becomes a Christian, do they change their actual lives?  Often, only the change is internal, in the spirit.  However, when a person begins the overcoming process – or when a person receives the In That Day Teachings or other similar information – then a large change can occur in a Christian’s actual life.  How much change?  Say to start with, about 80 percent of a person’s life changes while 20 percent stays the same.  Sometimes it will feel more like 95 percent. 

90 Proof Tithing– Non-profit leaders sometimes obscure their self-service promotion of fixed-rule tithing by emphasizing their own tithes and donations exceeding ten percent.  To expose the ruse, I will give the following example.  Suppose I say my imaginary non-profit organization will tithe ninety percent of its income to other non-profits, if a million people will give my non-profit a regular ten percent tithe of their imagined $100,000 income.  The result is I still net a billion dollars.  Wow!  If I get a peer buddy to do the same thing, and we give our ninety percent to each other’s non-profits (wink!) we then both net $10 billion each.  Sweet Jesus!  That is intoxicating.  Well, tithing is so intoxicating its recipients seldom mention Jesus three times in the gospels excoriated tithing people.  And Jesus accused the religious establishment of the day of gross extortion.  Well, that is sobering.  Now then, who says to sup which cup?

A Colossal, Inconvenient Truth from Colossians: – When a sinner is led to say the sinner’s prayer, often he is told to invite Jesus into his heart.  Then the new Christian is coached along the way.  He does this, he does that.  He learns many good things.  Then the end result is that the Christian may never again think of how Christ lives in his heart, ready to manifest unless, that is, he leads another sinner to say the same sinner’s prayer and invite Jesus into another sinner’s heart.  The express purpose of In That Day Teachings are to enable mature Christians to hear, obey and manifest Christ.  But that is such an unusual message!  Who ever hears that preached?  Televised Christianity is full of profound absurdities:  $20 million jets, requests for million dollar jet garages, stories of $15,000 watches, give-to-get greedy prosperity messages, mania over motorcycle cruisers, celebrated and idolized personalities of power and persuasion, and so on infinitum.  Yet here is what The Message Bible says in Colossians 1:  This mystery has been kept in the dark for a long time, but now it’s out in the open.  God wanted everyone, not just Jews, to know this rich and glorious secret inside and out, regardless of their background, regardless of the religious standing.  The mystery in a nutshell is just this:  Christ is in you, therefore you can look forward to sharing in God’s glory.  It’s that simple.  That is the substance of our Message… We teach in a spirit of profound common sense so that we can bring each person to maturity.  To be mature is to be basic.  Christ!  No more, no less.  Then from Chapter 2:  Just go ahead with what you’ve been given.  You received Christ Jesus the Master; now live Him… School’s out; quit studying the subject and start living it! …Watch out for people who try to dazzle you with big words and intellectual double-talk.  …You don’t need a telescope, a microscope, or a horoscope to realize the fullness of Christ, and the emptiness of the universe without Him….So then, if with Christ you’ve put all that pretentious and infantile religion behind you, why do you let yourselves be bullied by it?...But they’re just another way of showing off, making [themselves] look important.  So the truth is, we are supposed to allow Christ to live and manifest Himself in us.  And we learn this from humble, broken-in-spirit teachers who do this.  And preachers and teachers with pride, with wrong doctrine, with love-of-mammon prosperity spirits consuming their souls, with unbroken hubris, with witchcraft audience-controlling spirits, with self-serving doctrines of ease, error and escape, all these cannot do this.  They cannot manifest Christ.  They say, “Lo here, lo there is Christ!”  But they cannot manifest Christ.  And they cannot honor those who do.  Nor can they teach others.  Nor do they want to learn.  Nor will they tolerate messages of this truth.  They will preach, and their sons will preach and their sons’ sons will preach anything but the message of how to manifest Christ.  Because they cannot honor that another – even their student – would manifest Christ.  They only insist that you honor what they themselves know, and teach, and preach, and earn a living from Christ.  It’s all about themselves, really.  But it is too colossal, too inconvenient to challenge them.  So their followers just praise the pandering and wonder, when will Christ come?  And that suits the Devil fine, because his plan is working with those so set.  And God lets the truly unseeking embrace all that is antichrist.  It is how the tares are differentiated from the wheat.  But the true seekers find God.  And in them, Christ is happy to manifest.  Behold, Christ does come quickly!

A Grain of Salt – Most truths can be found already expressed in stories, songs and expressions from popular culture.  It is how God gets the truth out.  For example, take George and Ira Gershwin’s lyrics from It Ain’t Necessarily So:  “Live clean, don’t have any fault; take the gospel whenever it’s possible; But take it with a grain of salt.”  Shepherds have conveniently forgotten to teach sheep how to discern the Ring of Truth in any given situation.  So God relies on popular culture to proclaim His greater truths.  This parabolic wisdom is widespread in the rain of popular culture (though veiled) while an interminable drought remains widespread among the dry shepherds.  Is Christianity frozen in a never ending Narnian winter with the Wicked Witch enthroned?  Or is the Church trapped in C. S. Lewis’ Silver Chair of enchantment?  What commandment forbids skeptical Bereans from seeing the obvious?  What explains Christians believing in $799.99 post-rapture mail, or weak praise music, or six day creation, or that Eve ate fruit or that Christ cannot manifest now so we must passively expect Him to do something good we won’t?  Like the Muses sang in Disney’s Hercules, “It was a nasty place.  There was a mess wherever you stepped.”  All because doctrine has been wrong.  Anyone can make a mistake.  Anyone can be wrong, except all the preachers who teach otherwise.  A confirmation of the prudence of taking authority’s spoken word with a grain of salt happened at the World Trade Center site during September 11, 2001.  After the North Tower was hit by the first plane but before the South Tower was hit by a second one, officials make a public address system announcement that the south building is “secure” and that people should return to their offices. Of the many whom left the building in defiance of the public announcement, a Jewish lady was supposedly heard loudly proclaiming, “My parents escaped the holocaust by ignoring such announcing.”  Like Billie Holiday sang, “God bless the child that’s got his own.”  And the heroes of Flight 93 proved they could discern a situation quick enough to save the United State’s capitol from further harm that day.  Inherent in humankind is a deep knowledge of truth.  But much of teaching and even preaching makes us go along with whoever is in charge.   On 9/11/01 Mohammed Atta said from the controls of American Airlines Flight 11, “We have some planes. Just stay quiet, and you'll be okay. We are returning to the airport.”  Right.  Did that sound like truth to anybody on the plane?  If preachers were not so busy deafening our ears to truth while they ramble along about the rapture, maybe more than one plane out of four would have been stopped that day.  Wrong doctrine spoken from pulpits for decades, along with all the other wrong things spoken by other media purveyors, has deadened our ears to something very simple, but also something very important:  Truth.

A Parable of Perfection –Once upon a time a traveler visited a land called Perfection.  He noticed the lovely homes and buildings of Perfection were peculiar.  None of them had roofs.  They had perfect walls, floors, plumbing, fixtures and so on; but not one house or building had a roof.  When he asked a resident of Perfection why the buildings did not have roofs, the resident advised the traveler to keep his questions to himself.  Then the traveler noticed other unfinished things in the land of Perfection.  The vehicles of Perfection had no motors.  The phones had no ear pieces.  The televisions had no screens.  The computers had no processors.  The planes had no engines.  Thus most everything in Perfection was done to a high level of perfection, except for the completion of perfection.  Finally he could keep quiet no longer.  He asked a large crowd to listen to him.  Why, he asked, are your perfect things done only half complete?  The crowd quickly became angry and threatened to kill the visitor.  But the visitor kept talking, because he believed at most he would be only slightly hurt, because killing him would take the doing of something to perfect completion.  However, the people of Perfection jumped upon their bothersome visitor, took his life quite completely, dug a six foot grave, buried him leaving no trace and quickly forgot the whole affair in a fashion that – if the visitor had been alive to witness it would have certainly agreed – was no less than perfection itself.  (The above parable is for the masses.  An explanation to disciples would be that the land of Perfection is the wayward church, unfinished.  The wayward church believes it needs no correction, rebuke, chastisement or finishing.  Yet is is undeniably incomplete.  What is it missing?  Answer: The doctrines enabling Christ to manifest Himself in each believer at high levels through humbly embracing full indwelling of the corrective Holy Spirit.  What does the wayward church have completely?  Answer:  Full and powerful mechanisms denying all correction, preventing Php 1:6  “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” from ever happening.  An explanation to top students (i.e. James, Peter, John) would be that individuals in the wayward body embrace dark spirits of pride, deception and control.  Any person trying to correct these evil spirits in church leaders  faces massive denial spirits and counter-attacking spirits.  Deceived leaders of wayward religion love their dark demons of rigid control, hate the fluid and true corrections of the Holy Spirit and will do their absolute damnedest to deny any prophets of true correction.  In this, and only this is the wayward church whole.  Let the seer beware.)

Abominably Ritzy, Desolately Empty  -- Why are prosperity seekers so rich, but never full?  On November 13, 2007 it was reported Saudi billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal became the first person to purchase an A380 super jumbo.  Astonishingly, the news said he already owned a Boeing 747-400.  Which begs the question:  He wasn’t fulfilled with his 747?  Prosperity seekers Kenneth Copeland and Jesse Duplantis both recently bought $20 million Citation X jets.  They weren’t fulfilled with their prior jets?  Prosperity seeker Creflo Dollar has a Rolls-Royce.  He wasn’t fulfilled with a Mercedes?  Benny Hinn lives in an oceanfront multi-million dollar home on Ritz Cove Drive near the Ritz Carlton hotel in Dana Point, California.  He wasn’t fulfilled with a less ritzy location?  Prosperity seeker Joyce Meyers bought a $23,000 marble-topped commode (furniture, not plumbing.)  She wasn’t fulfilled with a non-ritzy commode?  The pattern is clear to see.  These people cannot seem to get enough riches, yet their riches do not satisfy them ever.  Jesse Duplantis is asking his partners for a multi-million dollar garage for his jet.  YouTube shows Kenneth Copeland saying he could use a 747.  So perhaps we have got it wrong from so much immersion in prosperity doctrine.  The prosperity preachers say we must all be like Jesus, but they actually are like Saudi princes!  And God knows it takes a lot of paupers to support a ritzy prince!  However, the money never seems to be quite enough.  It appears, no one can give them enough money to obtain contented ritziness.  But many are giving them their best.

About Factor – Wherein Christian leaders abrogate their responsibility to be Christian and have the essence of Christ manifested, so they talk about Christ instead.  Thus, they are like F-15 Eagle flight trainers who never fly, or ever actually see their captive students fly, or let anyone else ever fly.  Further the only thing they launch are diabolic hate campaigns against all true pilots and flight trainers.

Adam and Eve’s Fall – Moses wrote in a poetic, repetitive and sometimes obscure fashion.  What was his reason for doing that?  God wanted it that way.  But now that God has allowed our minds to expand from exposure to one hundred years of science fiction plots, we might be ready for the bitter truths of it all – even  truth’s total recall.  In the beginning Adam and Eve may not have gotten in trouble with just eating forbidden fruit.  The Garden of Eden may have had two trees, one being Jesus the other being Satan.  Satan may have already had his victories in the previous earth age.  Eve may have been tempted to know Satan, and even more horrible: Adam too.  Adam then knew Eve.  Then Cain was born whose father was not Adam.  Then Abel was born whose father was Adam.  Then Cain slew Abel, and on it goes.  Christ explained it in Matthew 13:24-43 in the Parable of the Tares.  The truth of these bitter stories from the Bible might explain the parabolic nature and extraordinary success of movies like Star Wars.  A main theme in the six movies seems to be the importance of spiritual bloodline ties, and how they may be crossed with very deep heritages of evil, good and need for revelation, redemption and restoration.  (See Pastor Arnold Murray from Shepherds Chapel in Gravette, Arkansas.)  As usual, popular culture has much in the way of confirmation.  The Persuasions, an a cappella group, sings a song by the name of Cain’s Blood, with these lyrics: There's an angel and a devil playing tug of war with my soul.  The battle rages on each and every day.  And the song’s chorus is:  Half of my blood is Cain’s blood, the other half is Abel’s.  One eye looks to heaven, one eye looks for trouble.

Ancient Earth – The earth is, as Billye Brim says, as old as the scientists say it needs to be.  That so many Christian ministries insist in the earth being young is an example of how a literal interpretation of a spiritual Bible puts a literal spirit of stupidity on their minds.  The Bible says the earth is ancient, as does the earth’s own observable record.  The ministry proponents of an immature earth succeed only in proclaiming their own immaturity.  Learn from this.  The pay for being on the wrong side of God’s word, world and mind is, to say the least, unearthly bad.

Animal, Mineral or Plant – God’s message to us is coming from what?  The donkey that spoke to Baalam was an animal.  The brimstone raining on Sodom and Gomorrah was mineral.  The burning bush of Moses was plant.  The universe is alive with God, if only we understand, see and receive His messages to us.

Antichrist – He is either a distant, some-day-in-the-future giant nemesis of a man (or God forbid, woman!)…or he/she is simply me or you when we stray from being the essence of Christ at any particular moment in time.  Antichrists discussing antichrist make books that sell well, movies that do not and sermons that do.  But it may not please God, who by necessity permits such odious teaching, which actually increases Satan’s kingdom, but better defines opposing camps.  An antichrist teacher might drum up dispensational fear by the bucketful, hold fear-based alter calls, talk too much about international relations and one world government and then ask you for money.  Antichrist people are obsessed with filling your mind space with all that keeps you from manifesting Christ.  How can you when they have scared the “be-Jesus” out of you?

Antipodal Idiocy – If spirit and truth disconnect the result can be bizarre bipolarity.  When a pastor does not know how to truly worship God in spirit and truth, an interesting thing sometimes happens.  That person might experience a radical disconnect between the spirit they are of and the truth that they speak.  You can sometimes witness it in preachers who are off.  And what happens is this:  The spirit they are of becomes the exact opposite of the truth they speak.  This is one of Satan’s demonic devices, because the spirit trumps the carnal.  So the truth of the message is lost to the antichrist spirit manifested.  Satan loves this in a preacher, and God hates it.  Here is a written description of Antipodal Idiocy:  A pastor with a dead-flat, monotone voice loudly proclaims, “You must obey God’s word, because God’s word is life to you.”  In this instance, the lifeless antichrist spirit is mocking the living Word, which is Jesus, which is rhema, which is living in God’s now-instant-moment, which this preacher is a million miles away from manifesting.  Another example of Antipodal Idiocy would be the whacked out charismatic televangelist who says in a moment of frenzy, “Ja-he-e-e-e-e-z-u-s-s-s-s is mah La-ha-ha-or-d-dah Huh!”  In this instance, the man is calling on a dark critter by the twisted name of lahaordahuh jaheezus, who clearly is not God’s Son.  The spirit is literally mocking the true Lordship of Jesus Christ in that wayward man.  (His next sermon might be on the name of God.)  Another example would be a dry ever-so-intellectual pastor who says in a high, whiny, annoying voice, “The letter of the law kills the spirit of God!”  Of course, his letter-of-the-law screwball voice is exactly the spirit he is of, whose name might be professor nerdlydeadwrong.  That spirit is mocking God’s admonition to always be real and not high-toned. (His next sermon might be on being totally filled with the God’s Spirit.)  Another certain preacher unknowingly modeled Job’s Chapters 1 through 31 religious pride by elongating the last vowel of his sentences – while preaching incorrectly about Job!  For example, he said things like “Job was goo-oo-oo-ood-duh!”  He was righteou-eou-eous-s-s-s-huh!”  This man’s sermon on Job was hilariously bipolar, because Job finally repented in Chapter 42 of himself being a vainglorious “righteou-eou-eous-s-s-s-huh!” kind of self-congratulatory, close-to-God’s-rules but far-from-God’s-essence kind of poser.  Unfortunately, such bizarre bipolar examples are commonly found in pastors who do not have a clue that they regularly mock God’s logos truth by parading it on floats inhabited with foul, stinking, lying, prideful, supercilious, mocking, putrid, filthy evil spirits.  A parade of roses it is not.

Apocalypse Now for Christian Escapologists – Is this the end of escape for escape-doctrine televangelists?  Dilemmas, not rapture, have come to some televangelists.  And they cannot escape their doctrine-driven dilemmas.  We now know what eggs hatch from escapology.  We see prosperity-on-the-outside celebrities driven by moral-lapse-demons-on-the-inside.  Dare we connect the dots?  Could it be that to believe – and God forbid preach – escapology doctrines creates vapid inner souls, incapable of saying no to self-interest?  In short, does belief in escapology make a moral-escapist soul?  The general answer seems to be yes.  In the end, escapology destroys its leaders and followers.  If we believe the Devil’s doxy, we die. Yet escapology sells well, in the billions of dollars.  And dilemmas come quickly but rapture never.  Will escape ever end?

Armageddon – Armageddon is today’s epic battle against self on the throne.  It is not about World Wars III, IV, V and beyond.  Nor is it an answer to how-to-get-rich prayers from dispensational religionists, authors and filmmakers.  For perspective, consider that Armageddon was not World Wars I or II.  Rather, Armageddon is your battle, it is my battle, it is your family’s battle, it is my family’s battle against self on the throne.  The band Sugarland has sung, “Yeah, Armageddon  could be knocking at my door, But I ain’t gonna answer that’s for sure.  There’s gotta be something more.”  The song either reiterates Satan’s Selfish Way or with double meaning the profound exact opposite.

As one might suspect, popular culture has a song that explains much about this process:  From Annie Get Your Gun are the sarcastic lyrics: “Folks are dumb, where I come from, we don’t have any larnin’, Still we’re happy as can be, Doin’ what a-comes a-naturally!” 

As Time Goes By  – “A kiss is still a kiss, a sigh is still a sigh, as time goes by.  The fundamental things apply, as time goes by.”  So go the lyrics from the movie Casablanca.  Fundamental doctrines are true.  But then along come alternative doctrines.  At first they are difficult to discern.  Wrong doctrines are juicy and enticing.  Then they are believed, as for example prosperity extremism.  Its first generation progenitors died with accolades and no correction came to the doctrines.  But its second and third generation leaders are manifesting bigger problems from wrong doctrines gone on too long.  Witness their Rolls-Royces, jets and mammoth egos.  Now some televangelist operations have annual donation of hundreds of millions of dollars.  With that kind of money and power, problems will inevitably manifest if doctrines are in error.  Without fear these enterprises continue to grow, though other money handlers appear in the financial news regularly who have grossly erred.  Billions of dollars have been lost by business leaders in every area.  This witness is lost on some ego-driven preachers proclaiming their desire to be the first faith billionaires.  It is not hard to predict financial crises and great doctrinal corrections will certainly come to them some day.  It is just hard to believe before seeing it.  But the fundamental things apply, as time goes by.

Ask the Askers of Money for Money – For a chance to grow in counter-intuitive thinking, next time you receive a dunning letter, or phone request or personal encounter with a non-profit organization with budgets exceeding yours by a factor of thousands, consider simply asking them for money.  (Of course, only do such actions with God’s leading.)  Sometimes turn about is fair play.  They will surely rid themselves of you quickly.  What love have they of you but your lovely money?  Most such relationships are entirely one way:  You send them money, they do whatever they want so long as they call themselves good.  But ask yourself this question:  Need they increase their budget of perhaps hundreds of millions of dollars per year while need you decrease your budget by the donation they say they desperately need?  Does God really want them to have your money?  Are they promulgating God’s manifested kingdom in maturity?  If so, send it.  If not, keep it. 

Assuaging Woes of Prosperity High Flyers: – According to the 8/24/07 Wall Street Journal, private jets burn 15 times as much fuel per passenger as commercial planes.  This is a cause of woe to the elite aviation crowd, which now includes so many jet set preachers.  The Journal says private jets can make huge carbon footprints, with a simple cross-country $20,000 round trip flight making 13 metric tons of carbon dioxide.  But it can be offset with a mere $74 carbon offset purchase.  It’s a “feel good” solution, reports the Journal.  The offsets help fund alternate-energy technologies such as windmills or carbon-dioxide-eating greenery.  All this may be quite far afield from the subject of God, but it is important to know how prosperity preachers can carry on in their lofty skies without guilt.  Especially since the Journal reports a Gulfstream G400 uses 100 gallons of fuel per passenger hour compared to just six for a commercial jet, such as a Boeing 777.  So be prepared for new requests and dunning letters from the brotherhood of preachers with planes:  Supporters may now face not only requests from preachers to fund their prosperity jets and their prosperity jet park facilities, but now also guilt-assuaging prosperity jet carbon offsets.  Thankfully, our prosperity preachers will pioneer for us the ways of living large in the world – without guilt!  So let’s just praise the carbon offset!

At the Top Can be Found God – At the top levels of most any profession, passion or person can be found God.  Our Creator never has limited Himself to only Christianity or Judaism.  Sometimes exquisite goodness can be found in people at paramount levels in ballet, martial arts, composing, politics, theater, film-making, business, science, astronomy, art, literature and even just simple life.  Though we insist God be narrow-minded, He cannot.  Certainly the Bible does show us His preferred way.  And that way seems to be so challenging, it would be egregious to suggest any other path than through the Bible.  Nevertheless, we should not turn away, but rather congratulate all who have drawn neigh unto God by whatever means.  The more the merrier.  God’s recruitment plan exceeds ours and, in fact, every plan of ours.  God’s plan is a river.  Our plans tend to be canal locks.  Stiff-necked rebellion is as witchcraft to God.  But if we relax and enjoy heaven’s flowing joy ride of ever-wonderful, ever-changing opportunities to increase God’s kingdom of truth, that is quite simply loving life, which is our Creator.

Behold I Come Quickly – Wherein Jesus desires to manifest in every man, woman and child possible on earth in this day – and does so, in those He can, in ways hidden from those who haven’t paid a price to see, but clearly to those who have.

Beware the Reason Behind – Christian leaders in America tend to ignore deeper reasons behind things.  Why was prayer and the Ten Commandments removed from US public schools?  Maybe Christians in America had already removed them from their lives, and God let the secular crowd confirm it.  Outraged over Islamic Jihadists?  Maybe God allowed this as a witness necessarily drawn forth by the vapid, inane and extremely laid back, casual Christians.  They seem so convinced of Eternal Security, God shows us suicide bombers who believe they will meet 72 virgins in Allah’s heaven.  (Thanks to radio personality Dr. Michael Savage for that observation.)  Both beliefs are extreme nonsense.  Ever notice rapture-believing televangelists are amassing extraordinary wealth for themselves from their supporters?  If such leaders truly believe themselves soon taken, their wealth is for what?  God permits just about anything, if it sheds light on wrong doctrines of the wayward Church.

Blind Right Eye – The coming antichrist is thought to have a blind right eye and weak or missing right arm.  This comes from Zechariah 11:17.  “Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock!  The sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.”  So the King James Version says this errant soul might look like a pirate with an eye-patch and hook for a right hand, or then again we might not take such a literal interpretation from a spiritual Bible.  Perhaps when shepherds err, they create a situation in which God allows them to be weak with their supposed strengths and somewhat blind to their own spiritual impotence.  Is this not the case with television ministries promoting the self-service doctrines of (beam us out of here) rapture, imminent return (of a super Jesus who fixes all but us) and eternal (do nothing and be rewarded everything) security?  It seems that the easy-out escapology doctrines proceed with sort of a crazy logic (from left side of brain?) that overpowers a more holistic, spiritual approach (from right side of brain?)  In other words, the logic is in a non-productive endless loop and must be reprogrammed.  In the movie Zathura a robot designed to protect humans malfunctions and announces: “Alien life form!  Must destroy!” and then proceeds to attack the humans.  It is stopped when the humans show it a card that says “Reprogram.”  After reading the card, the robot fixes itself and valiantly defends the humans against alien enemies.  So in effect, these weak-in-God’s-power, wrong-program-logic shepherds have wed themselves to easy escapology doctrines that then make them preach about the coming antichrist eye-patched, hook-handed pirate!  When in truth, they might be talking about their own spiritually blinded, weak in spirit selves!  It seems like God’s colossal cosmic joke that stupid people get to play on themselves.  Such shepherds seem like Job Chapters 1-31 endless loop, got-it-wrong motor-mouths.  Then Elihu comes with the voice of truth and, not incidentally, the voice of God to give opportunity for one out of the four theological wizards to finally get real, which is to be able to get real close to God.  In other words, Job and his three friends were rigid religionists (logically overly proud of their religious thinking, which was rigid and self-congratulatory on having a fix on God’s rules that they didn’t realize He breaks.)  They completely missed the point of God, which is to spiritually see beyond the beyond, which is where you see what God’s hand is doing, and then you join in fellowship with Him as His friend!  And you know, when you are in fellowship with a friend, he will feel comfortable enough to let you in on some of his jokes.  Perhaps we should print some cards that say, “Reprogram.” 

Burning Bushes – The Bible instructs us to proclaim the mighty works of the Lord.  But where are God’s mighty works?  If we have spiritual eyes to see, there are burning bushes everywhere.  If we have no spiritual eyes, we see nothing of God.  Moses walked the wilderness desert and then one day he encountered God by seeing a burning bush and deciding to turn aside.  The key is to honor the barely noticeable (at first) thing you see of God’s hand moving, by pausing to turn aside and inquire of God.  This quickens you to God’s quickness.  Is not God the fastest thing in the universe?  Are we not sometimes the slowest?  God wants to know, can He get your attention?  Or are you too involved in self-righteous pride-of-religion to stop for a moment and truly see what He is doing?  As Shakespeare said, Ay, there’s the rub!  If self is on the throne of our lives, we see no burning bushes, we see no God.  If we allow God on the throne of our lives, then we can be interrupted by anything and inquire of God.  It sounds simple, but it is actually quite hard to be that unselfish.  It is a lot easier to dismiss the whole idea that God is actually doing many things each day to get our minds off ourselves and our pride-of-religion ways.  To put it another way, a common proverb is that good things happen to good people.  So really, God things happen to God people.  But some people proclaiming themselves to be God people prima facie show themselves to be the contrary.  That is why this teaching is hard to find, hard to model to others and hard believe in.  But this is just where Jesus lived.  With a twinkle in His eye He told Peter the next fish he caught would have a coin to pay the tax.  Now that is a burning bush.  To provide non-biblical examples is to provide debate for argument.  Nevertheless, here are examples from history and my personal life:  John Adams and Thomas Jefferson both died on July 4, 1826, fifty years after signing the Declaration of Independence.  A recent pair of horror movies crashed at the box office after being released on Resurrection Sunday of 2007.  When I once told the famous dispensational preacher Chuck Missler I had avidly studied his end-times doctrines, Missler said to me in mocking fashion, “Then I’ll pray for you, brother.”  A few months after praying to God to help me with a 30-year-old lower back pain, I found myself in Toronto, Canada at a martial arts school pinned underneath a large Russian named Igor.  Igor locked his lower legs around mine, wrapped his burly arms around my upper body and pulled so hard that four or five lower vertebrae popped into a place they had not been in 30 years.  I had been going to chiropractors for three years with no results.  It took Igor only seconds.  As people were paying their last respects to the deceased Ronald Reagan in a ceremony at his library in Simi Valley in 2004, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Margaret Thatcher deeply bowed toward the casket in a display of profound respect for her departed friend.  At that precise moment, the sun set beyond the horizon.  A praise band at a church I attended once had a real problem with bringing God’s anointing because its digital instruments sounded terrible.  Then the power went out, they sang a cappella and God’s presence came!  The ushers, equipped with secret service sleeve microphones and ear lobe radio devices, quickly ran new electric cords.  In no time at all the power was back on at this high tech church, the band’s terrible digital instruments were once again playing and God’s presence left.  This too, was a burning bush for all who had eyes to see or ears to hear God’s confirming or denying Spirit.  Either God is alive in your life or not, it is really up to you.  He continually does what He does, and you continually do what you do.  It is up to you to honor His burning bushes.  You can live your whole life ignoring them.  But be like Moses!  Turn aside!  Come alive to God!

Buzzing Flies – The In That Day Teachings, in general, and its claim that escapist rapture doctrines are wrong, in particular, cannot be proved.  The teachings are simply self-evident truths for all who have spiritual eyes and ears.  For others the In That Day Teachings appear to be heresy, were it not for the sound of buzzing flies.  Flies buzz around the prosperity preachers who fly in $20 million ministry jets.  Flies buzz around the left behind authors and film makers whose work works on the gullible to empty their wallets and fill their souls with useless dispensational fear.  Flies buzz around the weak praise, weak voices, weak preachers and weak believers who worship some strange god of weakness instead of Joshua’s be-strong-and-of-a-good-courage God.  Flies buzz around self-interested non-profit organizations with astonishing distance from Christ’s essence, yet which demand tithes to themselves using the unsymmetrical ploy that if you give cash to their rotten-doctrine establishment, God will give back more to you nebulously.  Of course, Christ’s three passages where He was derisive of tithing wrongly are ignored.  Flies buzz around huge Christian media enterprises which have hundred million dollar incomes, yet escape from disclosing financials, submitting to any responsible oversight or answering any question from anybody anytime; as they preach doctrines of escapology.  Flies buzz around go-along-get-along prophets who entertain multitudes with descriptions of an amazing future void of any church correction, bug spray or refuse removal.  In fact with such a truth-deafening cacophony of buzzing flies, the above-mentioned ministry archetypes have to compensate by revving up their impressive reality distortion fields.  They must make bigger their own personal importance, the importance of their hectic escape-from-reflection travel schedules, their quid-pro-quo peer ministry exalting, their persona-exalting television operations, their buildings, their birthday celebrations, their family, their lordly estates, their amazing book sales, their motorbikes, their horses, even their trophy spouses.  In short, they must ever magnify their successful worldliness and pandering its dream to their generous supporters.  That is the buzz, friends, of so many modern ministries in all their glory.  Just do not ever tell them that the buzzing comes from Beelzebub’s flies delighted to drool on so much doctrinal dung.  Because despite the rotten fruit, despite the buzzing flies, such ministries and their followers will always have Bible verses to defend themselves.  And it is useless to engage in scripture wars with them.  None are so blind as those who refuse to see.  And until they smell it themselves, no mortal can convince them of what their wrong doctrines cause to stink.

Caution: Jabberwocky is Extremely Dangerous! – Persons referring to God’s prophetic future in the following terms may be extremely dangerous to your finances.  Watch out for the following nebulous terms:  Life changing – a shift in the atmosphere – invade systems – tip the balance – head not the tail – taking territory – template for warfare – mobilize the generation – pierce the heavenlies  – a vision kind of experience – transformation issue – accelerating legitimacy – outpouring harvest – new levels –dread champion warriors – apostles of the new age – birthing anything – radical anything – extreme anything – etcetera.  This gibberish is nebulous because the speakers actually do not know much about the future.  They simply know that prophetic jabberwocky succeeds wonderfully in jacking up their income by depleting yours.  Such gobblers of gibberish are extremely dangerous to your savings.  Their extraction spirits are powerful, especially compared to weak lie-detection spirits in sheep who are not taught how to detect lies.  These gobblers of gibberish are too stupid or afraid to go against rapture dogma because they love accolades of men.  Since they agree with the lie of a future rapture, they have no clue whatsoever about the future.  This even though the In That Day of the Lord’s wrathful scourging is foretold throughout the Bible’s old and new testaments, while rapture cannot be found in the Bible except by invention.

Caution: Jesus Returns Ungelded! – In the apocalyptic cowboy movies of Clint Eastwood, his no name character represents a kind of Lord Jesus avenging angel.  The tall avenger coolly achieves extreme justice against powerful evil foes while being watched by cowardly, small minded and very gelded townsmen. What is the meaning of this outrageous parabolic story telling?  Just look at the huge popularity of the worshippers of weakness found in the casual, West Coast, flip flop, Calvary kind of non-denominational, very abominable, rapture-loving, logos loving, spirit infill hating churches.  Their praise is weak.  Their prayers are weak (i.e. Oh Lord, just fix everything.)  Their preaching is weak (Should Jesus tarry, let’s study the twisted word that says He’s coming to rapture us out of our weakness problems.)  Their everything is weak, because the actual god they worship is…weakness.  And they have very much become as their very god, which is very weak.  Basically, this gelded group will not recognize Jesus as He continues to return spiritually on earth in humans, because such saints will have courage they lack.  So God allows parabolic stories and movies to be told to us to hold us all responsible for truth – truth that cannot be heard from gelded pulpits, but is generally known from movies.  In these stories God breaks rules (because He is above all rules) in the telling about Himself to make critical points.  The church of the gelded will never get the point, which is that God of all things alive is the most non-gelded entity. 

Compulsive Giving – Stop compulsive giving.  It is a technique of Satan.  Even tithing is subject to the fact that There Are No Rules.  Christ three times criticized tithers who gave out of a wrong spirit.  Also Pedro Principle #1 tells us that groups tend to fall into the three categories of good, middle and bad.  Therefore not all people asking for a tithe consist of whom God wants to receive tithes.  (For [it is] not [the man] who praises and commends himself who is approved and accepted, but [it is the person] whom the Lord accredits and commends.  II Corinthians 10: 18 Amplified)  You must hear from God’s two-way radio in the matter.  Further, the In That Day Teachings imply that God wants you to voluntarily give virtually all control of yourself to Himself.  This then, is a tithe times ten, or one hundred percent.  Viewed in this fashion, the tithe is more an Old Testament “righteous-rigid-servant-of-God” requirement versus the New Testament’s “holy-flexible-friend-of-God” higher spiritual requirement.  In other (harsher) words, a tithe-based mentality is a cop-out-on-God giving device for called-to-higher-standards sheep, and an easy extraction device for called-to-higher-standards shepherds.  Also John the Baptist and Jesus told people to give to one another, and not necessarily give tithes to organizations claiming God’s entitlement to receive.  A holy person might pass the tithing bucket but turn to a needy person and give them whatever God says to give.  A holy person might tithe to nobody.  A holy person might give more than a tithe to an organization serving the poor.  A stuck-in-righteousness person might give nothing of himself to God that God requires while also giving a tithe to a church God hates and has been working to shut down for years.  Anything goes.  And giving is not always good.

Coolers –  A Cooler is something of an urban legend, reinforced by a movie called The Cooler made in 2003.  A Cooler is supposedly someone with such bad luck, it rubs off on people.  So casinos supposedly hire them to break the winning streak of lucky gamblers.  Coolers can be described as people who pack really atrocious spirits with a covering of what appears to be benign spirits.  Religion is where they can live without fear of detection.  Coolers are not just unlucky, or accident prone, or clumsy, or contagious, or killjoy, or insatiable or hellacious-bothersome to your talent.  They can be assigned by God’s enemies to hinder God’s champions.  What enables a Cooler to operate freely is their strange combination of strong evil spirits hidden by stronger covering spirits broadcasting benign qualities.  No one dares call them out, since they appear to be operating unconsciously, innocently and with well wishes toward whom they destroy.  And many pessimistic, gloomy stuffed-donkey Eyores of the world do live their entire lives unconscious of the miserable mayhem they cause to those to whom they draw neigh.  Why?  Because few care what spirit they are of.  Now, Jesus cared.  But Coolers won’t, don’t or can’t.  But you must.  And often, we have to first admit we have been Coolers against the righteous.  And then we must repent.  And then we must forgive all those Coolers who later hammer us down with their unconscious evil spirits, which they deny aggressively deploying as an effective arsenal against God bearers:  Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake…by the Coolers, who know not what they do, because they choose darkness rather than light, rather than face the ugly truth of what spirits they allow themselves to be, and so they deny Christ coming to them all of their desolate and abominable lives while they fervently deny Christ has come in you, whom they perceive to be the most dangerous and true enemy of their ghoulish, barren souls.

Curse Upon “How to Be” Media & Ministries, Part 1 – Miscreant philosophers, preachers, teachers or gurus have a cursed solution for you.  It starts with their bait, then hook.  The bait is:  “I can help you.”  The hook is: “Buy my carnal platitude advice.”  Few seem approved of God to so sell their wisdom.  Nevertheless the needy deplete their meager resources to add abundance to the self-proclaimed wise; because the wise say so.  How long, oh Lord, must this continue?  The expensive pabulum has this sort of structure to it:  A) I am above you in greatness.  B) Here is the problem.  C) Buy my advice.  D) Here is my advice.  However, in the end only God’s rhema wisdom will work for you.  No formulas will work.  No platitudes will work.  Nothing will work but being able to hear and obey God’s rhema voice.  Few know this.  Fewer still do this.  Fewer still teach this.  This wisdom, by its nature, profits its promulgators less directly than the easy “how to” (be great like myself say the self-exalting) promulgators.  So if you want to truly get rich carnally, make another how-to-succeed-carnally industry based on your persona.  And since platitude advice never quite satisfies, you can sell your soul, or successful persona, without limit.  You could (tee hee!) write fifty self-help (ho ho!) books.  (People needing help cannot figure that if one self-help book doesn’t quite work, maybe 49 more from the same author would?)  However, if you want to please God, learn how to hear His rhema words and obey them.  From that God’s truth and kingdom comes. 

Curse Upon “How to Be” Media & Ministries, Part 2 – An example of cursed advice on how to do or be something is as follows:  A certain radio preacher says for a month he will preach on “Understanding Biblical Manliness.”  After much talk the advice boils down to 1) Read what the Bible says about manhood, leadership and being a servant.  2)  Find in the Bible those models of manhood, leadership and being a servant.  And 3) Follow those models “all the days of our life.”  Wow!  Such profundity!  Such platitudes!  Actually, such are the problems with miscreant teachers. The truth is this advice is egregiously immature.  It may be a horrific catastrophe if we do what Moses did, or David did, or Paul did or Jesus did in a particular case, when God wants us to do something perfect, surprising and different.  For we must choose: Either God is dead and we do what our paid gurus tell us generically to do…or do what an alive Creator of the universe instructs us to do now.

Curse Upon “How to Be” Media & Ministries, Part 3 – God’s goal with Job and his story of 42 chapters is for Job to be able to say, “With my spiritual eye, now I see!”  This is the sum of the Bible:  How to be Christ-like, how to be indwelt of God, how to manifest God, how to hear and obey God’s rhema voice, creatively expand God’s kingdom and hear “Well done thy good and faithful servant!”  God wants everyone to be able to say, “With my spiritual eye, now I see!”  But platitude shills say, “Now I sell!” 

Deceiving Spirits Use Veils, Part 1 – Unfortunately, the wayward church is overflowing with examples of how a sincere person can use deceiving veils of spirits to hide the truth.  A leading rapture proponent, who will remain unnamed, continually promotes his vast business and military experience.  Why?  Because people espousing the rapture sound really, really dumb; if you have ears to hear spiritually.  So this man must use a counter-veil.  His ministry boasts of his high-security-military/board of directors/entrepreneurial-acumen self.  Even Presidential contenders would wish to God they had his perfect resume.  Only it is a ruse.  If his escapology doxie was true, he would have no need for the egregious, aggrandizing self-promotion.  Similarly, prosperity preacher use their regal gold watches, oversize jewelry, big hair, exquisite suits and magnificent stage sets and such as a counter-veil to their self-serving non-profit-laundry-back-their-lifestyle machines.  By pandering to a donor’s envy, they extract the donor’s money!  It is illogical, but veils make it work.  Veils are reality distortion or logic distortion devices.  And wolves use these devices to prey on the sheep.  Another example are preachers who have nothing really to say about God except that they enjoy glorifying and enriching themselves.  Here is the counter-veil ruse:  They ask the “how many of you” question in regards to having had painful experiences in life – followed by the mantra, “I am here to tell you…God is good!”  Well, duh.  But if you repeat the litany sixty times with every terrible woe known to mankind, you can get people standing, heads wagging and contributions overflowing.  The trick is to get an un-pained audience to reflect on past horrific pains, manically rejoice over a god-mantra and subsequently feel good and guilty enough to contribute to the grand poobah hypnotist’s organization.  Which if properly structured is a veiled self-enrichment laundering device.  Here is how to do it.  Make the organization a non-profit.  Then use the above mentioned veiling techniques to obtain funds to promote the enterprise.  Since the business is non-profit, the promoter can appear to work “selflessly” (smile) to continue the enterprise’s goodly message (which might be veiled self-promotion tagged on to a good thing, like God.)  Then, the promoter uses the non-profit organization to heavily pitch his or her for-profit books, movies and other royalty items.  Add quid pro quo guests for the broadcasting non-profits to shill each other’s for profit items, and bingo, you are well on your way to becoming a faith billionaire.  God is good, but He doesn’t like us employing such veiling spirits to deceive psyches.  (Is it too much to ask pastors who collect royalties for books promoted through their non-profits to return those royalties to the non-profits?)

Deceiving Spirits Use Veils, Part 2 – To sell lies, some wolves use the veiling spirits of fear.  Eschatologists employ lots of juicy, fearful, high-brow international relations intrigue.  What international relations have to do with universal truths of God is not clear.  But drumming up fear through international relations gossip makes sense if you need to have a fear-based veil to hide the unholy writ of dispensational doctrine.  Then, you hold a no-prophet “prophecy” seminar...or you have an over-intellectual kind of ministry (pardon if this sounds harsh) and somewhere along the line, yup, somebody has got to sell books!  (Or survival food, gold coins, etc.)  So you have another non-profit run by self-sacrificing saints (grin) whose leaders, oh by the way, just happen to have a few books lying around...Want to buy one from our booth just outside the seminar?  Or if you are hearing this on radio, ahem, our non-profit will send it to you for a bargain-value donation.  Our volunteers or non-profit staffers can take your money and launder it my way.  Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.  It is a pattern that groups we know are in error use, i.e. the prosperity message group.  But it is also a pattern used by charismatic, Pentecostal, immature earth believers, apologists, Christian critics and other groups.  It is just not a pattern you see in the Bible.   Ever wonder why?

Deceiving Spirits Use Veils, Part 3 –Once a practitioner succeeds at a certain level it is time for more refined means of travel; to keep up with other non-profit (hee-hee!) Jones and away from suspicious donors.  But rather than rely on personal funds from media royalties, the goal is to dip back into the non-profit donors  to fund the (drool, drool) executive jet and five-star expense account lifestyle.  Never mind the cost.  Never mind the justification.  Everyone is doing it, so it must be OK!  It also seems fine to use the non-profit to fund home number two or three at, of course, posh working locations.  However, by the time complaints are lodged by watch groups, it is easy enough to take royalty revenues and buy properties for the family trust anyway.  And it is fun to fly one’s own jet (with the family on the non-profit payroll) to exotic international destinations, which may have more sophist partners to cull than in the saturated US market!  The beauty of it all is that the royalty work is really low caliber and easy to create stuff (sometimes ghost written) because anything, just about, sells to the dupes supporting the non-profit’s effort.  Once momentum builds, the vapid pabulum (but it always must be called “life-changing”) sells amazingly well even on the open market!  Indeed, how can such guru wares be much more than junk food for the soul, considering that the authors’ doctrines include personally choosing lower means over higher morals?  At the end of a successful career, the invested royalty money creates a comfy cash flow and there is no need to continue to work, worry or pay back the vehicle that enabled it all – the non-profit.  After all, it is non-profit, right?  Caveat emptor, bruddah!

Deceiving Spirits Use Veils, Part 4 – Every human being is part good, part evil.  Unfortunately, this means we all do variations on the above.  Robert Winkler Burke admits it.  I do not always get victory over the spirit of greed.  Maybe someday others might enjoy doing a me culpa.  What are we going to do?  We are by nature sinful.  We want to serve God.  Then we serve ourselves.  Some of us do a better job at limiting the self service.  (Alas, as of this writing I am executive jet/mega-income/lifestyle-of-the-rich-and-foolish challenged.)  Jesus seems to have done a pretty good job of unselfish ministry.  Maybe I’ll write a book about it… that will sell well.  Oops, there I go again.  And think:  If I, a sinner, see this little of what is going on, Holy God sees how much?

De Nile is a River in Egypt – If God grants you the grace (Divine enablement) to have eyes to see spiritually and ears to hear spiritually here is what you will find:  Denial.  You will find it here, there and everywhere.  And here is what you will bring here, there and everywhere:  Truth, which is the kingdom of heaven.  And people without truth will be rather uncomfortable around you.  And people with truth will greet you like a long lost brother or sister.  And they will usually be in humble situations.  They typically will not be leading large institutions because by definition, large institutions tend to have enough compromise required of its leaders as to make them sufficiently corrupt to no longer hearken unto truth.  Truth just bothers them, and if you’ve got truth in you – you are to them the greatest bother.  That’s why characters like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln are so beloved.  Apparently, they rose in authority without compromising their souls.  Then there are the greats of the Bible which we hear preached to us by so many compromised souls.  And having truth in you, or more specifically, the life of God’s Spirit in you is to the world, called Egypt by the Bible, very subjective.  But to brothers and sisters in Christ, it is not subjective at all really.  The beloved of God love the beloved of God.  God’s indwelt operate on a certain harmonic frequency with the universe such that they are generally in sync with all that is good and God.  The rest simply are not.  So the rest like to kill the God-bearers, because they are such a hellacious bother to their pride.  And the killers are, if true to type, the religious order of the day.  Except nowadays it is extraordinary difficult to crucify God’s messengers, so the only option is to ignore a certain prophetic truth.  And what is this prophetic truth?  It is Christ’s life in you witnessing the absence of Christ’s life in much of modern Christianity.   Modern Christianity’s praise is weak because its doctrine worships weakness.  Christ has a hard time coming and indwelling in modern Christians because their theology is so escapist with belief in the false doctrines of beam-us-out-of-here rapture, Christ’s return to fix all things but escapist believers and eternal do-nothing security.  Behold, Christ cannot come in them because their spiritual abodes have too many demons.  They have too many demons because of the rights granted to the demons to indwell the Christ-in-name-only vapid abodes.  The demons have a right to stay indwelt in vapid abodes because of the so-called Christian doctrines they believe.  They will not change their ghoulish antichrist dogma because it is taught and preached throughout the earth as being the norm.  This is why much of what is broadcast around the world as being Christianity is often just a huge reality distortion field, requiring huge sums of money to propagate.  And it results in strangeness denied – like the fraud of $20 million must-have jets, the bizarre focus on international relations intrigue, the baby-milk gospel repeated incessantly while mature sections of God’s word are eternally ignored.  And more than anything, it takes a lot of denial.  It takes tons of denial.  To have millions and millions of vapid Christians in life-long ignorance of huge quantities of scripture regarding the end-times goal of Christ living and being in holy vessels, well that takes a lot of denial.  To have so many people live and believe and support a vapid form of in-name-only Christianity that never understands or lives the Bible’s last page – now that takes a lot of denial.  To never be spirit indwelt, and live life in God’s unpredictably wonderful river of there-are-no-rules-only-guidelines life; to never praise and bless another for manifesting Christ in maturity; to never have Christ come quickly in your life; and most especially to never have Christ come quickly in your Christian leader’s life – well now that takes a lot of denial.  It takes a river of denial to believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit distant and far from indwelling most believers.  Now, that takes denial.  It takes the biggest river in Egypt to do that.  And Satan delivers every time: It’s de Nile.

Dispensational Dingdongs – Preachers who know more about one-world global intrigue than most of hell’s angels are perhaps doing the work of hell’s angels.  Dispensational dingdong doctrines change over time to continue to appear true.  The main thing they promulgate is fear.  Most of their doctrine will never prove to be true, because God refuses to cooperate.  Therefore, most of their predicted events must keep shifting to a further point in the future.  (i.e. fear the WWII Nazis; no, fear the Cold War Soviets; no, fear Y2K; no, fear the Chinese; no, fear the Muslim terrorists; no, fear technology; no, fear the coming antichrist; no, fear the Russians again; no, fear a date again… perhaps 2033; no, fear the Chinese again; etc.)   The main thing they accomplish is filling the minds of their followers with thoughts designed to prevent Christians from hearing, obeying, manifesting and pleasing God.  Their so-called “prophecy conferences” usually contain no prophets, but usually do contain some method of extracting your money.  Why does everything always come back to extracting money?  Jesus blasted extortion in his red letters of the Bible.  He overturned the money tables at the temple.  The zeal of the Lord ate Him up.  Alas.  Alack.  But meantime, back in modern times some of us sheep are making great meals for some hungry shepherds.

Doctrine-Driven Difficulties – The egregious self-interest we see in modern television ministries is driven by its self-interest doctrines.  In other words, doctrines are the horse that delivers the ministry cart into either heaven or a ditch.  You become as you believe.   To borrow a line from Casablanca, the In That Day Teachings keep rounding up the usual suspects:  They are the keep-self-on-the-throne, cop-out-on-future-character-growth, God-does-it-all-we-do-nothing, big easy three:  The Rapture escapology guaranteeing a beam-us-out-of-here-sky-ride-to-heaven, the Immanent Second Return of Christ to fix all ills but our own problems making it impossible for Him to indwell us now, and Eternal Security guaranteeing a reward from God for doing nothing for God but agreeing with the demons that God is, well, God.  The consuming self-interest of modern television ministries is proof that their self-interested doctrines are wrong.  Their sinful doctrine makes them totally deceived as to their errors, and they boldly go about their brazen sinful ways.  The remedy is disavowal of the dumb doctrines.  But now it is a Christian catastrophe, self-inflicted and self-denied, of epic proportions.  These three deadly doctrines make up the table of vomit mentioned in Isaiah 28:8.  The chapter’s previous verses state the error first comes through wine, which stands for pride and self exaltation, and strong drink, which stands for deification of self.  This is what those television lights have done to its ministers, who have not been able to check the sin of self glorification throughout the years.  So they must remain infantile theological Lilliputians, only able to preach babyish milked-down Christian pabulum.  Why has God allowed broadcast ministries to do this?  Why has He shown gross self-interest ministries preaching gross self-interest doctrines?  Because God is showing the world the result of what a fool believes.  God has allowed the grossly excessive self-interest to make everyone dead certain what is so dead wrong.  Selah.  From all of this much can be learned about Satan.  The above-mentioned ministries may be in great deception.  Yet tell-tale signs abound.  The ministries expend huge amounts of time, money and life-force to project their false reality distortion fields with elaborate media productions, stage sets and controlled convention environs.  Its leaders sequester themselves from the reality of the public.  Its leaders deal primarily in peer groups with virtual no corrections in decades.  Its followers are blind to watch-group common-sense criticisms of glaringly obvious financial shenanigans.  Its leaders answer no questions from the public.  Its leaders disclose few financial reports.  Its leaders claim to be insiders with God such that no outsider, not any news organization, no government entity and especially no prophet can correct their excessive self-interest operations.  They say all correction is not correction but friction from the enemy, meaning Satan.  And like any self-interest lobbying concern, enough money is never enough money.  They have a craven spirit such that they never ask themselves, “Why is more money never enough money?”  They never say to themselves, “Gee, maybe our rapacious self-interest is driven by our questionable self-interest doctrines!”  That would be one great selah, but it may not come without a colossal amount of self-inflicted pain.  First the ministries will blame Satan.  But finally, they will blame themselves.  Some might even repent and fix their doctrine.  Then they can let God help fix themselves.  This will include receiving much more of the Holy Spirit, who has been spurned for intellectual idiocy.  And the leaders will discern and control their heretofore at times bizarre spirits.  Then they can have that revival they always have been praying for.  Because then, they will be worthy!  Hallelujah!  No longer selling dung-pile doctrines, they will have God’s truth and spirit to feed to God’s sheep.

Dog Chow – Whether Christ or antichrist manifests in us is up to two things.  Either we feed our mind good or we feed it evil.  (Technically, we feed our inner spirit truthful and good spirits or we feed it lying and evil spirits.)  You could almost say that in all of us live two fighting dogs, one good and the other evil.  The mean dog fights the good dog all the time.  Which one wins?  When asked this question in the movie The Missing, Tommy Lee Jones said, “I don’t know.  Whichever one I feed the most.”

Don’t Touch God’s Anointed – Used by practitioners of Love Mush, Rapture, WOF, et al to keep God’s rebuke and correction away during their lives on earth. They believe themselves lacking nothing but greater tithes, extra love offerings and more pride.  Yes, we must not hurt God’s anointed.  But it doesn’t mean God’s anointed must forever escape correction.  Friends say, “Correct me!”  Fiends say, “Don’t!” 

Don’t Worry, Truth Prevails – If you have eyes to see spiritually, then you see truth prevails in the universe.  Truth cannot but manifest itself around truthful things, and lies cannot but manifest around lying things.  For example, a self-interested ministry cannot but have a self-interested website.  (i.e. It will have few links to the rest of the universe of good, but it will have dozens of ways to send money their way.  Such a ministry website might plead for your estate when you die.  It will have no qualms with setting up an automatic debit from your checking account.  It will be happy to charge your credit card to send you a book on getting out of debt.)  For example, a preacher with little true doctrine or connection with God will have great compensated mannerisms and “announcer voice” false affections.  For example, Hitler’s troops marched a “goose step” on parade.  The goose step looked just like what a dictator’s troops would do.  They cannot do but otherwise.  For example, a mostly-for-show safety award meeting might have its safety award recipients stand on an elevated stage, crowded to the edge with no guard rails… and witness to everyone in the room the safety ceremony is a self-congratulating ruse.  Truth is everywhere to behold, if it is not edited out by careful program directors of a media ministry, an organization or – most importantly – one’s own mind.  The beginning of wisdom is the fear of God.  If God wants to make a fool out of you, me or anybody in public; then he can easily let the truth be shown in public regarding whatever foolishness is actually in us.  Truth cannot be hidden.  Rapture doctrine can be shouted from the mountaintop, but it will always sound like a lie.  Any lie sounds like a lie.  Any ruse sounds like a ruse.  Any truth sounds like a truth.  Any truthful person appears to have truth in him.  Any beguiled person appears to be beguiled.  And it matters not whether the person received four higher degrees from the most prestigious Bible schools or not.  If those schools had wrong doctrine, the person is tragically the worse for it.  If those schools had good doctrine, the person is made the better.  But a non-schooled person is still capable, in fact more likely, to have a chance at manifesting more of God’s truthful essence than anybody.  And we should honor such.

Double Redemption Pleases God – If a person says or does a good thing, which is a God thing, which might even be a manifestation of Christ, then Satan sometimes presents a nullifier in the form of a wrong response spirit.  Christ met such temptation by saying none are good but God, or he told people not to mention their healing, or he left the territory or used other non-aggrandizing methods.  Christ played down his own goodness.  This is only possible with humility.  Thus when a person who is healed says to his healer, “You are a great healer!” the healer must somehow respond, “Give God the glory, not me.”  When a stubborn husband finally takes his wife’s good advice, she must not lord her triumph over him.  She must say, “I sometimes am just as stubborn as my husband and his good advice helps me too!”  Thus the Lord looks for double redemption in most situations.  Regrettably, preachers often see themselves as lords of all that is right-smart preaching to all that is dumb-wrong; and as the song says, “It ain’t necessarily so.”  Thus single redemption becomes a one step forward process – for the sinner redeemed – while two steps back are taken – by the “good” mentor now in hell-bound pride.  This kind of single redemption does not expand God’s kingdom because it is hypocrisy in a repeating loop.  The newly saved soon become as their deceived mentors – prideful hypocrites vainly trying to save others by modeling upended truth.  Christ modeled double redemption: wherein the lost and found can each stay humble, please God, expand truth and grow God’s kingdom.  To help others with the hypocrisy of supercilious morality, just puts those helped in double trouble because eventually they will do likewise.

Elect – We are not all the elect.  Nor is none of us the elect.  The elect appear to be predestined and the non-elect not predestined.  In other words, everybody, generally speaking, needs to make a salvation decision save the elect, who appear to have already done that.  Most everybody appears to have free will as God’s gift, but the elect do not appear to have that gift.  The elect are God’s servants who must perform under heavenly deadlines, such as the greats of the Bible.  Non-elect have few divine deadlines save before they die, to believe entirely in God.  Those mistaken who believe all saved are the elect tend to also have the mistaken belief that all saved have eternal security while alive.

Elihu – In the Book of Job, Elihu is a prophet God speaks through in the storm.  He probably wrote the book.  (In Job 33:8-11 he reads back his notes on what Job had said.)  His humility in not giving himself credit as prophet has made it difficult to see his contribution.  Job and his three friends each spoke at length to find confirmation in God’s voice, which never came because they were stuck in righteousness, or rigid religiousness.  Young Elihu came along and his soliloquy, being closer to God’s holiness and truth, resulted in God’s confirmation and speech happening through him.  (See Job.)

Epiphany in Paradise– The moment will be great when the average preacher who preaches the triune escapology doctrines – the escape of rapture, the imminent return of God to fix all but the escapists and escape from eternal responsibility to do anything –  realizes why his congregation is so characterized by strong torpor and weak character.  To preach escapology is to make the lords of escape rich, the plebs of escape trapped and themselves guilty of heinous abrogation of duty.  What need have the authors of escape books, the owners of escape Christian networks, the operators of stunningly huge escape Christian ministries of more monies?  They will just continue to sell fear, sell their answer of escape and continue to profit by pandering to their audience’s wishful thinking and idolization of all things weak.  Perhaps it is time for preachers to gird their loins.

Erudite End-times Oxymorons – Once I witnessed a preacher, who believed in the imminent rapture, perform a baby girl’s dedication.  Suddenly the Spirit of the Lord came upon him and he prophesied to the parents a blessing upon the girl’s husband-to-be and the future couple’s life in Christ!  Wow!  Immediately upon giving this revelatory blessing, the embarrassed pastor qualified his prognostication by saying that what he had just said might happen, “As long as Jesus doesn’t come first!”  Apparently, the preacher had thought Jesus was coming within, say the next twenty years (when the girl might marry) or before the next eighty years (when the blessed couple would enjoy their life in Christ.)  So think about it:  If a prophet told us how we could double our money every day, we would probably be disinclined to want Jesus to return until, say, a month after a dollar invested could become a billion!  Now consider a preacher of prosperity and rapture.  He probably believes less in a literal rapture than more in a doctrine that allows him to focus on money making…until, say, abundance!  It is a way to occupy…until Jesus comes and absolves us from responsibility.  Nevertheless, many prosperity/rapture preachers want some prophetic news about how to prosper tomorrow without disbelieving Jesus is not coming tomorrow.  If the prophetic can give prosperity news about next year, good!  Five years would be better.  Fifty years even better.  What about a hundred, five hundred or a thousand?  But wait a minute!  Those who believe Jesus might return any minute (moment) might be conflicted the further out the years go in prophetic insight.  It would bump into their conflicted inner foundational lie: Prosperity now trumps rapture tomorrow.  Thus the wayward church disdains intelligent cogency in preference for puerile repetition of known, inane gospel pabulum.  To this church with anti-prophetic, Jezebel conundrums of hidden foundational lies needing no discovery or repentance, they say, we must tithe.  Thus prophetic insight is tolerated as long as it isn’t much insight.  Because: long prophetic insight discomforts those with short expectations of escape.  If escape is coming quickly, long prophetic insight must be disbelieved even more quickly.  There goes the Millennium!
